FOREWORD
A s a new believer in Christ, it is very important that you begin your new life with the right information and simple revelation of what the next steps in your new life should be. So many times what we learned in church or the things passed on by our parents, loved ones, pastors, and friends was not incorrect; it was just incomplete. Joan Hunters book increases our understanding of how to begin to walk out the Christian life to ensure consistent spiritual growth.
As the Holy Spirit has brought you into relationship with God the Father through His Son, Jesus, the next call is for you to become a disciple of Jesus Christ. I think LIFE! is a must-have resource to help new believers become fully equipped and experience rapid immersion into their new life, family, and lifestyle as Christian.
Joan Hunter has prayerfully and carefully labored with the Holy Spirit from her heart to write this book. I know that as you read this book the Holy Spirit will enthusiastically meet you where you are and help you to become just like Jesus!

INTRODUCTION
I Said The Prayer Now What?
Are you a new Christian? Did you recently speak the prayer of salvation?
Whether God led you down the aisle of a church or found you in a dark place, you have been introduced to your heavenly Father. By admitting you have not been a picture of perfection since the day you were born, you have taken the first step. Maybe you are going through a crisis in your life and have discovered that you dont have all the answers.
The Bible, Gods Word, has answers you can trust. In fact, every answer you seek can be found within its pages in some form. The Bible is the authority to value and respect.
Most people know that Christianity is based on the Bible. As a new Christian, to sit down with Gods Word can be somewhat intimidating. Some answers you are looking for may include:
Who will help me?
Where do I go to learn more?
Which translation of the Bible do I use?
Which church do I go to?
Cant I just watch church on TV or the Internet?
Do I have to read the Bible every day?
These and many other questions are answered in this book. I have attempted to answer the most common questions and situations new believers experience during this growth period. You can search for more at your leisure. Learning to find your answers within the Bible is a lesson in itself as you grow in your new Christian life.
Most of the Scripture is taken from the New Living Translation because it is written in simpler English terms for ease of understanding. If a passage is not taken from the NLT, you will see the abbreviation of another translation after the Scripture reference.
Many of your old habits and friends will still appear, but they will undoubtedly change as you develop a new Christian family. You will find a different way of life as well as a new way of thinking. It is a new life. Your goals will change. Your language will change. Your personality will change. Your destiny has already changed. You are now on your way to spend eternity with your heavenly Father.
Just like anything new and different, there is a learning curve. Maybe you made your way to the altar years ago but never found direction for the next step on your journey. Perhaps Christians around you use words you dont understand, and you dont want to ask for a definition. You will discover the definition of many of these words or phrases as you read this book. Note that references or words related to God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit will be capitalized in respect for Who He is.
I encourage you to start a journal to keep a record of how you progress and grow in the months and years ahead. It will be meaningful to you and your family in the years to come.
You are His reward and His unconditional love for you is too profound to measure because it has no end. God the Father set a vision of you before His Son as His reward for His work on earth. Now God will set before you a new vision for your life. You will face challenges, but you also have the opportunity to identify and build a life that is, in itself, a testimony of grace and love.
Enjoy!
