Heidi is one of our heroes. We had the privilege of being there when God touched her powerfully and gave her nations. Since that time she has passionately pursued both her relationship with heaven and her mission from heaven. Her life story will transform yours.

Heidi has provoked, comforted, and inspired me with her life, message, and friendship. Her latest book, Birthing the Miraculous, is engaging, personal, and empowering. It awakened old dreams. It infused me with fresh hope. It also provoked me to a fresh surrender and abandonment in my obedience to the lover of my soul, Yeshua!
This book has the rawness, personal struggle, yet God-encouragement of the Book of Psalms. It also has the practical, fear-of-the-Lord-based wisdom of the Book of Proverbs. I highly recommend this book to a generation of world-changers, both young and old. It will inspire you to dream, take risks, and stay the course until the fullness of Gods purposes are fulfilled in your life. This book will empower young leaders to start out their calling and journey with the right perspective and expectations, which will save them from years of disappointment and frustration. It will also encourage the more mature readers to launch out again with fresh-love-motivated, faith-fueled exploits no matter the cost.
Gods call on my life to reach out to the Jewish people and Israel came at a time that I thought my lifes calling was set and secure. This shook up my comfort zone theologically and my ministry focus and reputation. Heidis book has encouraged me that this is Gods wayto keep leading us beyond ourselves and our natural understanding and ability. I, for one, will follow Heidis challenge to carry Gods promises to full term!

I heard Heidi preach a powerful message once called Eat Slowly. She was addressing the subject of partaking deeply of the Lords rich presence and Word without being in a hurry. When I read Birthing the Miraculous, I desired everyone to read it and to eat it slowly, digesting every nugget and allowing the profound, Spirit-filled message to become flesh in them. I encourage you to read the book eat slowlythen go and be the message. After all, you are what you eat!

I personally know of no other person living who reflects the attitude of Mary as depicted in this book more than Heidi Baker. She is one of the few people who could write such a book. Birthing the Miraculous is an amazing book full of stories that illustrate the principles Heidi so powerfully draws to our attentionan amazing book by an amazing missionary, a highly respected scholar with her PhD who not only knows how to properly interpret the Word of God but is also knowledgeable from experience of the truths she writes about.
This is a faith-building book. This is a practical book explaining the way to intimacy with God. This is a book for people who love missions. This is a book for people who love the presence of God. This is a book for people who love to learn about the power of God to work miracles and healings.
I want to encourage you to make this book a part of your library and read it more than once. I have personally witnessed the great move of God that is written about in this book. I have met the dead who were raised in Mozambique through Rolland and Heidis ministry. I have seen personally the ears of the deaf open when she prayed for every deaf person at a meeting one night. I have seen blind eyes open on their base during a normal worship service on Sunday morning. I know it was not Heidi who raised the dead, opened the eyes of the blind, caused the deaf to hearI know it was God. But I am so glad I can count her as my friend who is such a friend of Jesus, who out of her intimate relationship with Jesus has the privilege of colaboring with Him and speaking commands on His behalf because she hears from Him what He wants to do. Read the book and then come to Mozambique to help answer not the Macedonian cry but the Mozambican cry.

How can it be that the life of one simple village girl from a very small town called Nazareth has impacted billions of people for the better throughout the ages? This book reveals in a clear and powerful way the attitude, heart, and principles that make it possible for Mary to be used by God in such a wonderful way.
How can it be that a young girl from Laguna Beach followed the footsteps of Mary when hearing from God, seeking Him with all her heart, daring to believe what He told her, and then loving Him with an undying passion? Heidi Baker has sacrificed everything to serve Him in the poorest and the most challenging places on earth, resulting in tens of thousands of abandoned and neglected children being loved and taken care of in all the Iris centers worldwide.
I have been privileged to call Heidi and her wonderful, Jesus-loving husband, Rolland, our dearest friends for over thirty years. God has worked mightily in my own life and others, but I hold Heidi and Rolland with the highest esteem for their determination and dedication to love and serve the millions who are the least of these in our world.
I trust that this book will inspire and encourage the readers to allow the Holy Spirit to fill them with His grace and calling so that they too will make a difference in the lives of multitudes in their own spheres of influence in this generation for the glory of God!

I remember being at a service where Heidi Baker began to share about the reality of carrying the promise. She invited us all to glimpse into the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Her message marked me in a profound way.
As I read the pages of this book, it is as if I can hear Heidi speak again words of truth, humility, endurance, and promise. I began to read the hard questions: What was it like for this young girl to say yes and to carry the promise of God within her? How did Mary carry on in life with the daily scrutiny of everyones eyes as they watched the promise begin to grow on the inside of her small frame? Heidi has such a gift of communication, writing simply in a way a child would understand and yet, in the same sentence, revealing profound truths that a theologian would need to ponder.
With each chapter I am reminded again that my little yes counts. My little life counts before God. This book is a timely message of a life laid down for her beloved King, inviting the world to do the same.

Ill never forget the night I sat on a rubber boat with Heidi Baker, pulling up to what was an unreached village shoreline with only the light of the moon leading the way. The cries of children could be heard in the distancechildren who had just come to know Jesus in the past few years because of the sacrifice Heidi and Rolland had made to reach them with Gods love. This one village who had never known Jesus was now 100 percent Spirit-filled believers.
I was overwhelmed by what I witnessed. The image of this little blonde lady sitting in the dirt holding children, reading Bible passages, singing worship songs, and praying for the sick, all by moonlight, deeply impacted me.
The anointing is a free gift from God, but pouring that anointing out has a price. Ministry has a price. Fulfilling Gods call is not always easy, nor is it convenient. In the pages of this book you will read the riveting story of a woman and her family and the price that was paid to answer and fulfill the call of God. I have been to Mozambique, Africa, with Heidi and Rolland Baker. I have seen their lives firsthand. I have seen the sacrifice and at times the deep pain that accompany fulfilling a call from God. I have also seen the glorious fruit and magnificence of Gods glory amidst the suffering and price being paid.
