Introduction
i shtar/Asherah/Ashteroth/queen of heaven was a heathen idol goddess, worshipped in ancient Mesopotamia (babylon). Her cult worship involved licentious sexual rites, debauchery, temple prostitution and bloody (human and animal) sacrifices. The Royals and elites were often the main patrons of the ishtar cult e.g queen jezebel of the Sidonians who served as High priestess for the cult.
In this book we examine the evidence of ongoing ishtar cult worship involving European Royalty as seen through
Marselisborg palace garden sculpture iconography. In this expos the bible is our exclusive reference point.

Woman inside the ephah.
Zechariah 5:5-11

Then the angel who was speaking with me came forward and said to me, Now look up and see what this is going forth. 6 And I said, What is it? And he said, This is the ephah (grain basket) going forth. This, he continued, is their appearance throughout the land 7 (and behold, a [round, flat] lead [c]cover was lifted up); and there sat a woman inside the ephah. 8 Then he said, This is Wickedness (Godlessness)! And he threw her back down into the middle of the ephah and threw the lead cover on its opening. 9 Then I looked up, and there were two women coming out with the wind in their wings; and they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heavens. 10 I said to the angel who was speaking with me, Where are they taking the ephah? 11 And he said to me, To the land of Shinar (Babylon) to build a temple for her; and when it is prepared, she shall be set there on her own pedestal.
Author Commentary:
From the above scripture it is clearly evident that the symbolism of the woman inside the ephar (grain basket) represents WICKEDNESS/GODLESSNESS/APOSTASY and the fact that in Babylon a temple was to be built for her means the appearance /symbolism would become a focal point of worship, as evidenced by the symbolism being subsequently mounted on a pedestal (i.e the base or support on which a statue , obelisk , or column is mounted.)
In ancient babylon temple building was patronised by the Royals and elites and involved massive resources being allocated for the building project . Every temple indeed has a priesthood , altar, rites of worship and worshippers . The woman inside the ephar is indeed idol worship of Wickedness (Godlessness) meaning devilry, hence perverse and base forms of worship were likely the manner of worshipping the distinctly cult symbolism. Devilry indeed includes black magic , sorcery , magic , witchcraft , necromancy , enchantment , spell working , incantation and divination which ancient babylonians were indeed renowned for.
I ndeed, the woman inside the ephar symbolises the worship of Ishtar/asherah/ashteroth/queen of heaven and other heathen idol goddesses under various names today.
Could some of todays royals be carrying out this cult worship of ishtar? Indeed, we shall examine the evidence at against biblical records.

Jeremiah 44:17

B ut rather we will certainly perform every word of the vows we have made: to burn sacrifices to the queen of heaven ( Ishtar ) and to pour out drink offerings to her, just as we ourselves and our forefathers, our kings and our princes did in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for [then] we had plenty of food and were prosperous and saw no misfortune. -Jeremiah 44:17
A uthor Commentary:
From the above scripture it is evident that the cult worship of ishtar involved making vows (oath, pledge, promise, covenant, commitment) to the cult image. Personally, I don't even know how one in their right mind can make a vow to a lifeless image. Certainly, the cult of ishtar must have had some serious influence on the ancient hebrews since they adopted this worship , erroneously accrediting their prosperity to the cult worship we had plenty of food and were prosperous and saw no misfortune.
The scripture also reveals to us that the worship of ishtar involved pouring out libations to her and that kings, princes and ancient cities were involved in this cult. Could the same be true for some of todays kings, princes and modern cities? Let us now carefully examine the evidence.
