Past-life therapy is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care. The process is challenging work, best accomplished by those who are emotionally and physically well balanced. Seek appropriate medical help if you have a medical problem. If you are currently in therapy, consult with your therapist before investigating past lives.

I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this book. There have been so many. I could not have accomplished writing Karmic Healing without the support of my community.
First, Id like to thank my clients and students for the honor and privilege of being part of your healing process and transformation. I want to acknowledge your generosity in sharing your stories so that others may heal.
I am grateful for all of my teachers (living and in spirit) who have passed their knowledge to me, so that I may serve humanity. Thanks to Sheila Reynolds, Sandra Stevens, and Evelyn Isador for initiating me into past life regression. I give special thanks to Tish and Joel Pacman for the teachings of the flowers. I also express deep gratitude to all of the flowers and their healing essences.

Introduction
Delving into the Unknown
You want your life to have meaning. Perhaps you sometimes wonder, Do I have a reason for being here on Earth? Or maybe life has been so challenging you find yourself asking, I am a good person, so why is my life so hard? How can this book benefit you? Using the karmic healing techniques I present herewhich Ive developed over the years in my practicehave helped many people find answers to such questions. If you apply what you learn from this book, you will find similar answers and also experience a deeper sense of purpose and more fulfilling relationships. You will feel more relaxed and empowered to meet lifes challenges.
Past-life regression is one karmic healing technique I use with clients. When I ask workshop participants to share what they want to get out of experiencing a past-life regression, most usually dont know. In fact, most say, I am not even sure that I really believe in past lives. Im just curious to see what will happen. When they delve into the unknown and engage in the process, they discover something new about themselves. The experience can range from being merely interesting to being highly profound.
Ive witnessed a myriad of past-life journeys over the past two decades, and each persons experience was unique. The stories in this book are based on the real experiences of my clients. Although Ive documented their past-life stories and followed up on their progress over the years, Ive never felt the need to research whether the stories had historical validity. Because clients had healings, emotional releases, and profound insights, proving peoples stories seemed irrelevant. You can accept the philosophy of reincarnation or reject it, but we may never be able to prove it to be true.
What I do have evidence of, however, is that the process of past-life regression produces positive changes in peoples lives. When people are regressed to a past life, the story that emerges can be seen as a metaphor for internal conflicts. The core issue or problem is revealed and, by rising to the surface, can be healed.
Even in a normal state of consciousness, the art of storytelling is very powerful; thats why movies and novels are so popular. When we involve ourselves with certain fictional characters and situations, it helps us heal parts of ourselves that have been wounded or lost.
Although people struggle with common issues, Ive never heard the same story twice. I can assure skeptics that Ive never encountered such famous figures as Cleopatra or Napoleon. Retrieving past-life information is not meant to glorify your personality or boost your ego. Rather, its benefit occurs when you receive insights, have a cathartic emotional release, or are healed in some way.
