My prayer is that each of you will rise up with the greatest new anointing of God's power and spiritual breakthrough that you have ever known...that very same anointing that opens blind eyes, causes the deaf to hear and the lame to walk. Remember ..."greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world" (John 4:4) and if the enemy tries to come in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord God will raise up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19).

Chapter One

The Revelation of the New Anointing

God's Word says, " ... ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John : ).

One of the greatest truths that God has ever revealed to me for fighting...and for winning... every time...in the great spiritual warfare in which we are engaged...is the revelation of the New Anointing.

This revelation not only has revolutionized my life and ministry, but it has done so to the lives and ministries of countless ministers and Christian lay people around the world with whom I have shared this teaching.

I have testimony after testimony on file of people (literally hundreds) who have learned these truths and have applied them in their own lives to witness the most amazing answers to prayers that they have ever known. Using these truths, they literally have prayed out into the Spirit to lay hold on victories that had eluded them for years.

It was on the Island of Grenada in the West Indies in 1964 when God began to reveal the truth of the New Anointing to my heart.

At that time He was using me in a tremendous manner on the foreign fields of this world. Tens of thousands would journey for miles by every conceivable method, often on foot, to attend our crusades in Asia, South and Central America, Korea, Africa. Multiplied thousands would surrender their lives at the close of every service to accept Jesus as their Savior. Thousands more would be healed of terrible afflictions... goiters , tumors , deafness, lameness, blindness, arthritis. It was a common sight to see six totally deaf mutes healed in one service.

God had given me the key to reaching the heathen nations of this world for Jesus Christ.

When ministering, it has always been my custom to lock myself alone with God in prayer...no calls, no visits, no sightseeing, every afternoon.

As I sought God for the great victories in the Grenada meeting, God spoke to me and said, "Son, I want you to return to North America."

Most of my ministry had been spent in the Third World countries, where I had seen the tremendous need of the masses. This new commission to return to North America became one of the biggest hurdles this ministry ever had to overcome.

Although I loved the people of North America, it seemed to me that the need on the foreign field was so much greater.

North America, where there is only six percent of the world's population, has 94 percent of the ministers. That leaves the nations with 94 percent of the world's teeming billions with only six percent of Christian ministers, including both Catholic and Protestant.

God had been blessing our ministry overseas with as great results as any ministry in the history of the Church. We had been preaching to tens and even hundreds of thousands of people night after night, up to 250,000 in a single service. As many as 50,000 people would pray the sinner's prayer and surrender their hearts to Christ in a single service.

Why should I leave such a ministry to come back to North America where there are churches on nearly every corner? Most ministers were describing North America as "burned over" with the Gospel. Many thought the time of revival for North America was past.

When God told me to get ready to go back to North America, I was shocked. I tried to bargain with God. I said to Him, "God, give me at least one reason why I should go back to North America."

Then God spoke again and told me, "Son, judgment is coming to North America."

That was only part of His message to me. Along with that statement about judgment, God continued to speak and He put into my hands and into my heart one of the greatest positive statements for meeting the crisis that you could possibly imagine.

He said, "I am going to send a new anointing of my divine healing power to North America."

What a thrill came over my being with that statement!

I went into the next service in Grenada knowing beyond the shadow of a doubt that God had spoken. I also knew that there was more His Spirit would reveal to me. There was still a missing link, a key in God's timing.

As many as 250,000 people have attended a single service in the Morris Cerullo World Evangelism Crusades throughout the nations.

I kept the revelations and directions God gave me in Grenada hidden in my heart as I continued to be led by Him on a daily basis. I always watched for the key I knew God would give me for using the New Anointing as I continued ministering in the nations of the world.

For years missionary evangelism in foreign lands was done under the assumption that those lands were different from the countries of North America. It was assumed that since clothing, food, shelter, language and customs were different, the needs also were different.

In my own ministry for many, many years I would use one method in the "civilized" cities of North America, while I would use an entirely different method in the overseas countries of South America, Africa and Asia.

It was as God brought a deep spiritual understanding and revelation of what was really happening behind the scenes in every country, that my ministry was revolutionized drastically.

For many years God sent Brother Cerullo to many of the nations of the world; but there was one place in my heart that when I prayed, I said, "God, don't You ever send me to this country."

That was before 1970.

I had been through this country many times. My plane would stop at the airport and sometimes I could not get a plane out for a day or sometimes two days.

I have been traveling for many years, since long before we had daily flights. Sometimes we would get in some of these countries and we would not even know if a plane was going out for two or three days. We had to keep going back to the airport every day to find out if our plane was going to be leaving.

I would be stuck in this particular country, sometimes for two days, when I could not get a plane out.

I would go to a restaurant to eat. I would have my food at my table and I could not eat it. I would look around and in the waiters' eyes I could sense the demon powers. I could see it in their spirit. I lost my appetite. I don't think in all of my life, in 20 years of passing through this particular country, that I have ever eaten a decent meal that I have enjoyed.

I said, "Lord, don't You ever send me here."
