W hen I was a teenager I prayed that God would give me a husband that I would have to run to keep up with spirituallyIve been running for almost twenty years now! Keeping up with my best friend and husband, Johnny Enlow , has been more of an adventure than I ever dreamed of. Before we married, he assured me of two things he would never dobecome a pastor or do the missionary thing. And, of course, that is exactly what we have been doing for the last ten years!

Johnnys parents were missionaries for fifty years in Peru, and he saw how much work it took for seemingly so little fruit as he was raised during his teen years in the jungles of Peru. So, mission work and traveling to the nations was far from glamorous to him. This was a relief to me because I was simply terrified at the thought of leaving my own food, bed, and potty! Just a few years into our marriage the word pastor was considered a dirty word in our home. We found ourselves rudely awakened to the reality of false shepherds whose deception is rooted in Jezebel, and it was closer than we could hardly believe. In retrospect, we realize that God was preparing us for the real by allowing us to get an undeniable deep breath of the counterfeit. After pleading with God to bring justice to our city (and going through a lot of Holy Spirit-induced healing), His response was to ask us to be a part of raising up the real, His beautiful Bride. So now we both gladly spend our lives on Him and the church He gave His life for, here in Atlanta as well as in many nations we have had the privilege of traveling to. Johnny has taken teams on over sixty shortterm mission trips where we have seen ordinary people like ourselves and our friends do great exploits through the power of God. (Jesus captured my heart so profoundly that even my fears couldnt keep me tied to my comfort, so I have traveled a good bit with him as well!)
