Teresa DeCicco articulates clearly and eloquently the age-old exploration of transformation, spirituality, and religion from an insiders perspective: as a woman whos experienced the richness of life beyond the five senses.
Lisa Wimberger, author of New Beliefs, New Brain
Spiritual insight at its best. Teresa DeCicco does a masterful job of reminding us that we are not alone in our profound journey of personal spiritual transformation.
Cynthia Banks, documentary filmmaker, Banks Productions Limited
Just as a caterpillar goes through intense physiological changes in its journey toward becoming a butterfly, so do our senses undergo refinement, during our own spiritual and biological transformation. Living Beyond the Five Senses is a beautiful and practical roadmap for the emerging human butterfly.
Kiara Windrider, author of Year Zero: Time of the Great Shift, and Ilahinoor: Awakening the Divine Human
In Living Beyond the Five Senses, Teresa has created a practical spirituality that is useful as well as inspiring for everyday life.
Melinda Hynes ICADC, EFT practitioner
This book will guide readers to find a way to heal emotionally and to experience peace and joy, regardless of the issue that they have to work on. By setting a conscious commitment to live life mindfully, by using our dreams, body information, thoughts, and emotions, we will find that life is really amazing.
Maria N. Gallo, MA, RMFT, psychotherapist at Family Service Thames Valley, London, Ontario
The book speaks about all the self-care behaviors I am practicing and encouraging my clients to practice as well, and how I can improve my practices. We are in need of doing the work from the inside out, whatever that work is for us as individuals. Welcome, Homo nuovo! I plan on making this book a regular tune-up for my spiritual well-being.
Heather Amisson ICADC, family counselor
What a great read! People often ask me how they can learn to tune in or connect with the spirit world... and this book is a fantastic resource to do just that!
Linda Ouellet, psychic medium, author: A Soul Comes Home and Mind of a Medium
I have been a student of two books since I sobered up eight years ago: The Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous and The Spirituality of Imperfection. This book, Living Beyond the Five Senses, has been life-changing and will be forever added to my spiritual walk forward.

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
This book has come to life because many people believed that I could be the purveyor of this news. People invested their time and skills, asked for nothing in return, and for this I am deeply grateful. A few who have gone above and beyond what was needed of them are mentioned here.
Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Heather Higgins who helped with the editing and shaping of this book. We have lived parallel lives and for this reason, she understood what I wanted to say and encouraged me to say it.
Nicolle Miller, who excitedly embraced the topic, even though it was foreign ground to her; I am so appreciative of her enthusiasm and openness to read the first draft and provide valuable feedback. It was through her youthful and inquisitive eyes that I was able to approach the book in a new way.
My sons, Matthew and Anthony, whom I thank beyond measure, for they have been the greatest teachers of love. Thank you to Walt Gibson, for without him this book would not exist; he provides the perfect mirror for my own reflection, which then begs me to make the journey inward.
To Michael Wiese and all those at Divine Arts who put their immense talent, time, and effort into this book. Since I have no skill in the art of bookmaking I put this entirely in their hands and they created something that is greater than any one of us could have done alone; thank you for sharing this adventure with me.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
A SIXTEEN-YEAR-OLD BOY finds himself in excruciating abdominal pain accompanied by nausea, fatigue, and internal bleeding. Over the course of several weeks his condition progressively worsens to the point where he can no longer eat or even speak. The boy is hospitalized with a team of doctors overlooking his dire condition while attempting to solve his failing health problems.
One day, the boy asks to be taken to the atrium of the hospital, which is streaming with bright, warm sunlight. As he sits in his wheelchair in a feeble state, with his face absorbing the light, he begins to transcend everything around him and he suddenly sees and feels a world that cannot be seen with the eyes alone. This is the world within the world. As he is swept away by the experience, he suddenly understands the great mystery of life and why he is on the planet. Shortly thereafter, he finds himself possessing extremely creative talents, clairvoyant abilities, and, during sleep, he is guided by dreams that foretell his future.
In time, the medical team is able to stabilize his physical condition and he is released from the hospital to return home to resume his life. His life, however, is no longer the one he knew prior to entering the hospital. Though one young man entered the hospital, a completely transformed one was released; only in physical appearance were they similar. This young man is one of millions of people from all walks of life, from all ages and cultures, and in a multitude of ways, undergoing the transformation to Spiritual Beings. Living Beyond the Five Senses is both a description and an invitation to this life-changing process for anyone wishing to embark on the grand adventure.
This chapter is dedicated to all the children who have touched my life and have shown me true joy; they are the next generation of
