And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

W hen we look at the course of our lives, it sometimes appears to be a chaotic path. The course seems to have no certain direction. Yes, even Christians often find themselves questioning the meaning and course of their lives. The things that God does in our lives and the incidents and situations that happen in many instances appear to be a haphazard, erratic display of a madman who gets pleasure from seeing his subjects suffer and live in despair.

But with God, this is not the case. There is a reason to the riddle. There is an answer to the question, clarity to the confusion, and calmness in the chaos. A bright new day dawns after the dark night. There is a time and a purpose to everything under the sun, a method to the madness.

1. Does your life have direction? Why or why not? What steps can you take to turn lifes chaos into a calm and divinely directed path to your destiny?

2. Knowing Gods divine purpose for your life helps you understand and make sense of the chaos. People who possess such knowledge possess power. Do you know Gods divine purpose for your life? Actively seeking His will gives you power. List ways you can seek His divine purpose for your life.

3. When people sought to kill Jesus for His stand and boldness in declaring the truth, He didnt get fearful and back downJesus stood His ground. When you know your divine purpose, you have the power to stand your ground. Think of issues of truth about which you will stand your groundno matter what.

4. When you are assured of your purpose, youre not fearful of men or external personal conflicts that attempt to hinder you. Do you have the confidence to boldly stand for God alone? If not, why?

5. When you know your purpose, you wont sit and passively allow things to occur in your life that are contrary to Gods purpose and vision. How can you start living today knowing you have the power to fulfill your purpose? What changes will you make in your attitude?

Knowing Gods divine purpose for your life is

one of the greatest assets and enablements

to help make sense of the perplexities and

complications that sometimes overwhelm.

People who possess such knowledge

possess power.

My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2 NKJV).

T herefore, if you are confused, ready to give up, wondering whats going on and what all the turmoil and chaos youre experiencing is about, ask God, Why? He just might say, Its purpose. Maybe Hes building a foundation of character in your life. Perhaps it will enable you to obtain the success and blessing that is to be poured into your life. Maybe it is a prelude to the powerful anointing that is about to come upon you.

Hes got to teach you how to trust Him now, while you are in the desert, so that when you get into the Promised Land and people start acting funny toward you because theyre jealous of the anointing on your life, you wont be afraid to cut ungodly ties. You know your help comes not from others but from the Lord. Do you understand what Im saying? I know you do. If you dont, youd better ask somebody! But dont just ask anybody, ask the Lord!
