The Abenda Chronicles have become a reflective journey. I didnt know when I started exploring Automatic Writing it would lead Abenda and I into being conduits of heaven and earth. I didnt set out to do anything other than to find a solution to a problem, or to be curious on why I had to know so and so, or had to experience the events that I had either enjoyed or endured. I realize time-honored questions stay relatively the same, although these letters are written generations ago 1992-1996, you will find we worry about many things they were concerned about back then. Often being soul questions with timeless answers. All we want is to skip along our earth-expedition as a thoughtful and pleasant one. But it seems we are to be at a specific somewhere in time with a schedule of destiny. Good or Bad.
These letters were printed publicly, the first pages of allowing the world to see my psychic-medium ability. Abenda and I are still promoting psychic phenomena and supernatural answers. There is quite a track record now as we offer these beginning letters
Peace & Love,
Tara Sutphen Malibu Ca, June 2011
In 1983, Tara began channeling her spirit guide Abenda via automatic writing. Upon first exploring the technique, she drew upon a natural ability to obtain a theta-level trance and remain there for hours at time. As a result, she quickly refined her ability to receive spirit-world communications. In her "Cause & Effect" magazine column in Soaring Spirit and her book Blame It On Your Past Lives, Tara calls upon Abenda to answer the questions of troubled seekers who write to her for help.
To obtain information about why someone is suffering, Tara uses the letter as a psychic touchstone, then goes into an altered state of consciousness and contacts her spirit guide. Abenda finds someone on the other side that knows the letter writer or a loving entity who is aware of the problem -- often the person's spirit guide, a deceased loved one, or friends from past lives. Under Abenda's carefully orchestrated conditions, that soul controls Tara's hand and the response is received via automatic writing. Tara also perceives the soul visually while this is transpiring.
Among the replies, you will find inspiration and wisdom that can be applied to your own situation. Some will make you smile, many will bring tears to your eyes. The communications will help you better understand the long-term karmic effects of your own problems.
From 1983 to 1991, Abenda's communications related only to metaphysical concepts and the Sutphen family and friends. In September 1991, Tara wrote her first magazine column, answering questions personally with Abenda's help behind the scenes. This soon changed and Tara introduced Abenda's communications to the 150,000 readers of Master of Life Winners, which evolved into Soaring Spirit magazine . The following is her introduction to that column:
September 1991: "The volume of mail I receive has increased a great deal since I've been conducting the psychic seminars with Richard. Although I've tried to answer these letters, my first concerns are my three children, my husband and running our household. Add interaction with both sides of the family, a social schedule with friends, regular tennis, our business commitments as well as work on a new book ... and life is bus-s-s-s-y!
"I know, it's the story of your life too.
"Observing my state of overwhelm, our friend and corporate manager, Jan Hale said, 'Why don't you do a column like Richard? Let people know that you can't answer the letters personally, but you'll respond in the magazine.'
"Good idea, Jan.
"Richard's mail usually consists of letters asking philosophical and technical questions, and because he is pretty direct and outspoken, some readers like to ask challenging questions, some simply for the sake of challenge. Women don't write him asking, 'How do I find my soulmate?' They ask me instead.
"So here I go. I'm new at this, so please bear with me."
Your interest in this column continues to overwhelm me. Thank you very much for sending your kind responses to the Dream Dance Research Project, and asking questions for this column. I wish there were some way I could do automatic writing for everyone in need of answers, but my mail is averaging a dozen letters a day. I hope you can understand why I'm asking my guide Abenda to select those letters she feels will serve the greatest number of people. Again, I'll use the full names of the letter writers unless they have asked me not to.
On the Master of Life Videolog offered free with orders in issue 51, I did automatic writing for a woman who wanted only to be known as E.B. In response, she sent me a nice note saying how much the writing helped. I also received a letter from Joanna Calkins, about my automatic writing response to her in issue 51.
Joanna said, "I feel that Louella (the contact) is 100 percent correct in her answer. I realize that the sister/mother relationship is their karmic situation. I will be working on letting go and sending unconditional love. Thank you for easing me."
Q: I Was My Mother's Mother
I held my mother in my arms as she died last year. After urging her to follow the light and telling her goodbye, I found myself stroking her head and thinking, "I brought her into this world, and now I have seen her out of it." I felt very ancient and peaceful. Then I wondered, is this why I had such a burning desire to be with her when she crossed over?
After years of exploring past lives, I'm sure I was my mother's mother. My grandmother was in her early twenties when she died in 1918 during the Asian flu epidemic. She died holding her one-year old daughter. I was born 30 years later.
My grandfather died three days after my grandmother, leaving three orphaned children. Throughout her long life, my mother looked forward to meeting her parents "in heaven." And here I am, still on earth and wondering, am I her mother? If so, how does she feel about me not being there in heaven to greet her?
In meditation, I've tried to communicate with her, but I only sense her loving attempts to comfort me and her exuberance over her present state. Can you clarify this situation?

Automatic writing from your mother: "Katherine is very good to have made a connection with you so that we could speak. I want to tell her how wonderful it was to ease out of that world and into this one as she held me in her arms. I didn't realize that she was my very own mother until attaining the knowledge over here. I know now that she didn't mean to leave me as my mother. It was a situation we both had to experience. When she was reborn as my daughter she always tried to make up for it. She helped me overcome the feeling of being abandoned and not being loved. I will be more than happy to love her for the rest of eternity.
