DEDICATION TO THE UPDATED EDITION OF GRACE WORKS

I DEDICATED THE ORIGINAL EDITION of Grace Works to my family. In this updated edition I want to renew the dedication of this book to my family who constantly reminds me of the unspeakable goodness of God.

Betsy and I were married in 1968. She is an unending resource of grace. She embraced our calling and joyfully put her very impressive nursing career on hold to manage our household while her husband traveled (often too much) with the message of Gods grace. Today the grace still flows as she gives herself tirelessly to fabulous grandchildren, while continuing to mentor the younger women who look to her.

David, our first-born, encourages us with his own testimony of the unrelenting reach of grace. He is living evidence that grace is not syrupy emotionalism, but truth put into action. Grace is worthy of deep thought and careful study. He is a debtor to grace, and we are debtors to him.

Karis, whose name means grace, has always been a constant reminder that God in all his attributes is delightful. She is graceful and gracious as a wife, mother, teacher and leader. She lights up my life and has since the day she arrived.

We as a family readily acknowledge that we are daily candidates for grace. We live in the hope of His available goodness.
