PRAISE FOR DR. CLEMENT
"Dr. Clement possesses the experience and knowledge to spearhead the emerging field of authentic health care."
"Dr. Clement and the Hippocrates Institute, conducting clinical research on hundreds of thousands over the last half century, clearly uncovered the fraud that is most often called `Natural Supplements.' Read this, take it to heart, and tell all of your friends about it."

Throughout the years I have had the privilege of working in the field of complimentary healthcare. My one consistent nemesis has been the fraud that is called the supplement industry. Several years ago, my colleague, Dr. Scott Treadway, sent me his written thoughts on a potential book we should write exposing this fallacy. He threw me the ball and I fortunately began to work with researcher and editor Randall Fitzgerald, who was an essential part of the development of this powerful manuscript.
During the time it took to investigate and develop a concise and clear portrayal of the history and derailment of nutrients in a pill we unveiled extraordinary disparities between whole-food, naturally occurring supplements and those made in chemical laboratories. Both Treadway, who is a well-known manufacturer of proper supplements, and Fitzgerald, a renowned investigative journalist, brought me volumes of data and science tracing the deceptive methods used by pharmaceutical and mega supplement companies, showing how they deceive the general public.
The efforts put forth by my two colleagues made this a landmark book in the field of human health. It is my hope that millions share our shock at how the majority of so-called natural supplements have often mistreated us. It is my objective to shine a bright light on the importance of good nutrient intake and squelch the stereotypical belief that all nutrients are created equal. In our daily research here at the Hippocrates Health Institute, we further this knowledge and solidify its reality.
Thank you to all that helped me make Supplements Exposed the first book that honestly reveals one of the most precarious misunderstandings of today. Without the efforts of those I have mentioned and others, such as my wife, Dr. Anna Maria Gahns-Clement, and my four children, Daly, Danielle, Gail, and Blake, who often participated in the hours it took to assemble this publication, it would not have come to pass.

FoREwoRD
This monumental book is more than just a brilliant survey and critique on supplements such as vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids. Next to psychology, more words have been written about food needs than on any other subject. These are often written from personal experience, from shoddy multivariable research, and some from rigid research methods meeting the scientific criteria (controllable, repeatable, and limited in concept).
Dr. Clement, with his rich academic and research background in authentic science, combined with extensive research at the Hippocrates Institute, gives this book abstracted, "digested," integrated, far-reaching information, written in clear literary form. These should be the last words on our choices of habits to nourish ourselves as we communicate with our world of living, evolving plant life and mineral elements. Those of you who are acquainted with my research know that I have cracked the "cosmic egg," the next frontier in medicine and health, with scientific evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of the bioenergy field, or human frequency, as described in my book Infinite Mind: Science of the Human Vibrations of Consciousness. The bioenergy field at last demonstrates that the primary life goals of the future will be health and not absence ofdisease.
It is therefore appropriate that I be affiliated with the best nutritional concepts as those presented by Dr. Clement, whose aim is the initiation and maintenance of a healthy life through food rather than recovery from disease and malfunction.
What Is Life?
Our earliest beliefs were that life came from the proper chemical soup where cells multiplied, grew, and organized to create a living, dynamic organism. This belief was incorrect-nothing happened until there was an electrical charge to start the chemical changes. Life is first and basically the result of electromagnetic charges. These electrical charges come from atoms, the smallest-mass substance in the body. Physics tells us that when the atom splits, it releases energy, which is the life force provoking continued growth and repair. In warm-blooded organisms such as humans, this is metabolism, which maintains life. The atomic energy released is in positive and negative charges, or ions. The positive ions recirculate in the body as free radicals looking for negative ions to reestablish the atom. As we all know, these radicals damage cells until reintegrated with negative ions. At the same time, the negative ions migrate to the surface of the body and become the auric field. These negative ions do not quickly escape, because the surface of the body, the skin, is positively ionized to hold them radiating around the anatomy.
My young nephew calls this energy "that fuzzy stuff hanging around the body which you see when you squint."
I found that the reason we have not recorded these vibrations before is because they are so tiny, in microvolt (one millionth of a volt). The available instruments were developed to test energy in millivolts only (thousandths of a volt), such as the energy of the brain, the muscles, and the heart.
