To John Polley for his belief in me, Nick Tabbal for his generous friendship, and Daniel Baker for his valuable guidance and support. To Gerald Pitman, for introducing me to the art of liposuction and to all the teachers who contributed to my education as a plastic surgeon. To my father, John, for allowing me to dream unencumbered. To my mother, Maria, for her stalwart belief in me while always stressing on the realities of my predicament, and my brother, Peter, for the endless love and scars on my head to go with it. To my amazing wife, Julie, for hanging in there through the insanity and sticking with me despite her best judgement to flee for the hills. Lastly, to my daughter, Mary, for bringing me to my knees and my son, John, for delivering the final blow to any remaining vestiges of ego that I held on to. I love you all to the moon and back. Pan Metron Ariston aside.

Spero J. Theodorou

To my wife, Melissa, for her unwavering support throughout the years with whom I took this journey with so many unexpected twists and turns. To my children, Annalise and Nico, through whose eyes I see the fresh perspective of limitless opportunities, and to my mother Sophie and father Frank, who instilled in me the strength to overcome even the most daunting challenges. I also wish to thank my plastic surgery teachers who provided me with the tools and skills to humbly carry on the privilege of our specialty to the best of my ability.

Christopher T. Chia

To my parents, Shalom and Simcha Dayan, who immigrated to this country with nothing, and gave my brother and me everything. Thank you for believing in us before we believed in ourselves. To my brother, Etan, for sharing this journey with me. To my wife, Tali, for being my lifes co-pilot and familys foundation. I could not have dreamed of a better mother and life partner; without you this wouldnt be possible. To my sons, Elon, Asher, and Leoryou make each day more exciting than the next. Your love and energy helped me get my second wind. To John and Catherine Farahi, thank you for your unconditional love and support; I could not have asked for better second parents. Lastly, to my co-authors, Dr. Spero J. Theodorou and Dr. Christopher Chia for their support throughout my career as a plastic surgeon.
