Ciro

H ow was I supposed to infiltrate the Irish Mob when the asshole I was waiting on refused to show? Sighing, I finished my beer and glanced around. Id been coming to this bar for the last week straight. We knew for a fact it was owned by the Irish, but Mick hadnt shown his face yet.

How the fuck was I supposed to ferret out their connection to The East Disciples and Armenians, and save the fucking day if their leader never came in here?

Doesnt he know my time is valuable?

I glared down at my empty glass as though itd personally offended me. The bartender slid another one in front of me and I grunted in appreciation. If Mick wasnt going to go along with the planit didnt matter that he didnt know about it and it certainly didnt benefit himthen I may as well get drunk. Id rather be at home with the others.

Pausing with the glass at my lips, I frowned. Since when did that group of dickheads constitute home and family? Dante did, since the asshole was like a brother to me. And the girls were alright. The rest of them?

That thought fell down and rolled off the bar when the most beautiful woman Id ever seen walked in the door. It was like the light shone brighter and everything inside of me was drawn to her.

Her blonde hair was long and flowed in waves down her back, framing a heart-shaped face. Her lips were luscious and painted a deadly red. Blue eyes danced as she came and stood near the bar, talking with the bartender. She was wearing one of those suit skirts, but it didnt look dumpy on her. The skirt accented her long legs and when she took the jacket off, I saw she was wearing one of those silky camisole things. The edges were lined with lace and accentuated her full tits.

Jesus. I needed to get laid. Here I was sitting alone, drunk, in a bar fantasizing about a woman while my dick was straining against my pants. I drained my beer again.

You dont mind if I sit here. It wasnt a question, but had a note of authority to it.

I didnt need to look to know it was her. Of course she had a smoky, sexy voice. Finally, I met her eyes and gave her a short nod. I wasnt on my game today. Usually, I was laid back and the life of the party. Tonight, I was cranky and didnt want to be here. Maybe getting drunkmore drunkand taking home a beautiful woman would fix my mood, if nothing else.

Whats your name? I asked her, as she sat on the stool next to me.

Reagan, she replied with a touch of humor coating her words. She picked up the drink that the bartender placed in front of her and took a sip. Her eyes fluttered closed in enjoyment and the look on her face forced me to shift to hide my growing erection. And yours? she asked.

Ciro, I told her without thinking.

Shit.

I was supposed to be Jack for this operation. She had thrown me for a loop, though. I wasnt expecting to find someone as gorgeous as her in a place like this.

She held her glass out to me and I tapped the fresh beer thatd appeared in front of me to it. At least since Mick and his guys hadnt shown, I could let down my guard and enjoy myself. My mood lifted as I spoke with Reagan and soon we were laughing together while consuming entirely too much alcohol. My liver wouldnt thank me for it in the morning.

I wrapped my arm around her shouldersin her high heels she was only a few inches shorter than my six-one frame. I loved tall women. Holding the door open for her, I smiled and then let my gaze sweep the room before leaving. No Irish had shown up tonight, but the evening wasnt a complete failure.

Nicos informant had been positive one of Micks enforcers was supposed to be here. Looked like Nico was wrong.

His loss, my gain. I was going to enjoy the rest of my night and worry about the Irish tomorrow.

There was no point in waiting around in a dingy bar for someone who wasnt even going to show. Id rather go let off some steam and cut loose. The plan could wait. Everyone deserved a night off after all. No one would blame me for taking the leggy blonde home. Id have some fun before getting back to business.

Plans like that never go wrong, my alcohol addled brain convinced me.

Ill take those, she said, holding out her hand for my keys.

What? Why?

She arched a blonde eyebrow at me. Im not getting in a car with you driving when you can barely walk.

I considered that. She was probably right. I may not be a cop anymore, but that didnt mean I needed to wrap my car around a light pole or risk getting a DUI. Dropping my keys into her outstretched palm, I grinned as the gorgeous woman slid into my car, flashing me an eyeful of toned thighs. I climbed into the passenger seat.

Her driving had been a great idea. I let my hands roam over her body and spent the time with my lips on her neck. She stoically ignored me while she drove.

I enjoy a challenge, I whispered into her ear. That sent a shiver through her body, and I smiled. She wasnt as unaffected as she was acting. Hell, if she was, why would she be going home with me at all?

We pulled up to a large house that was most definitely not the shitty little apartment Dante had set me up with.

Shed brought me home. My ego took a slight beating, especially seeing how huge this house was.

Fuck it.

She was hot, and I was horny. Wed never see each other again, so it didnt matter. I got out of the car and held out a hand to help her get up.

Her smile was sharp, and there was a predatory gleam in her eyes. This woman was going to be a hellion in bed. I couldnt fucking wait.

Light stabbed my eyes, and I groaned as I rolled over. I blinked blearily at the ceiling above me. Since Id been living at Nicos, and then switched over a few weeks ago to the apartment, I was used to not recognizing the ceiling above me.

My hung over brain was alert enough to realize that I definitely didnt know this ceiling.

Shock settled in my stomach as I turned my head and found the gorgeous woman from the bar last night asleep beside me. Her long blonde hair was spread out across the pillows and my chest.

I remembered flirting with her and thinking it was a great idea to take her home, but everything after that was a blur.

Fuck. Did we have sex?

Peeking beneath the comforter, I found myself naked.

We absolutely had sex.

Now I was pissed off that I couldnt remember it. The thought of not remembering a woman like this made me want to swear off alcohol.

Well, Id fix that by having a fun morning fuck session before I left. I huffed out a laugh, then cringed. Right after I brushed my teeth.

I slid out of bed as gently as I could so as not to wake her and walked into her ensuite bathroom. After I drained my bladder, I washed off my goods with the washcloth in her shower. No one could ever say I wasnt a considerate lover.
