Dr. Cohen, himself a victim of prostate cancer, avoideda recommended radical prostatectomy by going into severe researchmode and ferreting out the current state-of-the-art in prostatecancer care. Up to date, very important as manyoptions were not around a few years ago, ie imaging etc. It iswritten by a doctor with prostate cancer. Written on a level mostpeople can understand and benefit from. He writes rather like he istalking to a friend but does list specifics; tests, scans, PSAnumbers etc. Reads smooth and easy. 5/5 Stars: The book that every man with anelevated PSA or has been recently diagnosed with prostate cancershould read. I have been on active surveillance for low gradeprostate cancer for three years. My provider has been wanting me todo another biopsy because it has been two years since my last one.This book did an excellent job of helping me understand thecutting-edge state-of-the-art options that are available. It alsoit helped direct me to one of the leading physicians doing directedprostate biopsies by color Doppler. Prostate cancer with its manyoptions for treatment and monitoring can be quite difficult for apatient to navigate through. This book was a needed guide to helpmen make the best choice for them.
