Dont Quit
by Annelize Joubert
When youve eaten too much and you cant write it down,
And you feel like the biggest failure in town.
When you want to give up just because you gave in,
and forget all about being healthy and thin.
So what! You went over your points a bit,
Its your next move that counts. So dont you quit!
Its a moment of truth, its an attitude change.
Its learning the skills to get back in your range.
Its telling yourself, Youve done great up till now.
You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow.
Its part of your journey toward reaching your goal.
Youre still gonna make it, just stay in control.
To stumble and fall is not a disgrace,
if you summon the will to get back in the race.
But, often the strugglers, when losing their grip,
Just throw in the towel and continue to slip.
And learn too late when the damage is done,
that the race wasnt over, they still could have won.
Lifestyle change can be awkward and slow,
but facing each challenge will help you grow.
Success is failure turned inside out,
the silver tint in a cloud of doubt.
When youre pushing to the brink, just refuse to submit,
If you bite it, you write it. But dont you quit!

If you have never stood in front of the mirror in absolute disgust, horror and feeling completely hopeless, then this book is not for you.
However, this book is for you if you believe that there is somebody underneath all that fat, somebody who can still turn heads, who can be healthy, energetic and happy with a new, lean body.
I have been in the situation of self-hatred, loathing and mirror aversion. I know exactly what that feels like.
Please allow me to point out some facts that you may be ignoring or pretending to be unaware of.
Chubby, overweight, pudgy and curvaceous are some of the euphemisms to describe someone who is fat.
There is a social stigma attached to being fat.
There is a belief that fat people are lazy and have no willpower.
Many people do not find fat people attractive. They might find them fun to be around, but they do not find them attractive.
It is not healthy to be fat. Being fat is one of the biggest reasons of shortened lifespan. It is also often the cause of a miserable life due to ill health and feeling unwell.
Diabetes, joint pains, back pain, heart disease, high cholesterol levels and strokes are but some of the negative effects of being fat.
