To Dadi, our Source of Inspiration
We dedicate this book to Dadi Darshan Dharma, our precious guide in this present incarnation. He has transmitted to us his love for the mysterious kingdom of stones and crystals, and has shown us how to work in their company with respect and authenticity.
We also thank all our friends and patients who have allowed us to deepen our knowledge of this wondrous mineral kingdom that contains vast mysteries, which we hope one day to reveal.

This book was first conceived during a group study on geometric alliances carried out by therapists from the Medicine Buddha Mandala Institute in Montreal. Working together, we discovered these alliances and tested them on ourselves and on individuals who came to us for lithotherapy treatments. They have now become an inextricable part of our day-to-day lives. We see these alliances everywhere and are pleased to recognize them because they constitute a remarkable tool for self-knowledge and change.
The study of the geometric alliances is now an essential component of the first level of the lithotherapy program offered at the Medicine Buddha Mandala Institute. This book was written by the institutes therapists, who joined forces to bring the project to life.
We would like to thank Michael Gienger for his work, Crystal Power, Crystal Healing: The Complete Handbook, which explains the crystal systems that inspired and guided us in preparing this publication on the geometric alliances as we now use them. His book remains a primary reference for us in our practice as lithotherapists.
Since this book is intended as a nonscientific expression of this approach, we focused our attention mainly on the human aspect of these geometric alliances. Its style and structure are simple yet effective to ensure that the subject matter is easily accessible to all readers.
We sincerely hope you will enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed writing it.

INTRODUCTION
Since the early twentieth century, psychologists have proposed numerous theories to explain the human personality. Despite the vast differences in their ideas, most describe personality as a set of traits and modes of thought and behavior that can be used as a basis for defining, recognizing, and gaining insight into individuals and their motivations.
Today, growing numbers of psychologists and therapists from various schools of thought look to the study of the individual as a whole as the key to a true understanding of human nature. Often called holistic, these approaches take into account not only the role of personality in our development and growth but also the other elements that make up our being, such as our physical body, thoughts, emotions, and soul.
The study and application of the characteristics of geometric alliances help us develop the many facets of our being by compelling us to seek a cure, a change, or a transformation. This approach is particularly valuable in that it encourages us to delve into the depths of our being to draw on the abilities, knowledge, and qualities inherent in our true nature. We are then more likely to live in harmony with our potential and adopt modes of thought and behavior that supersede the rigid confines of personality.
Studying the eight geometric alliances equips us with a wonderful tool for enriching our understanding of what and who we really are, based on natural principles of energy that closely link the human and mineral realms. The knowledge we gain illuminates the mysterious kinship between these two realms, a vital connection that we have just begun to discover.
