Introduction

Have you ever been in this situation before?

You are seated before a person who you have been scheduled to meet with. It could be a business executive, a potential investor, or even a supposed friend whom you havent seen in a while and who has requested to have a meeting with you.

You exchange pleasantries with this person who is seated at the other side of the table. You take a long look at him and one of the first things you can notice is that he reeks of affluence and influence. You can bet that the wide, glass table separating both of you is costlier than someones annual salary. His firm grip on your hands as the both of you reach over the table for a handshake tells a story; this man is not one to be taken for granted and over the years, he has proven it with the empire he has built. His cologne fills the air and all you can tell from the scents that strike your senses is that the cologne is nothing but designers; possibly those limited-edition vials that are made for only the 1% of the worlds most influential 10%.

You are supposed to be meeting with this man for a specific reason, and although he is smiling in your direction, you cannot shake the feeling that there is something off about the whole situation.

The chills that are crawling up your spine are too intense to be ignored, and before you can tell what is going on, you feel the trail of sweat as it rolls down from your armpits.

Is it the coldness of his deep voice?

Is it in the way his brown eyes seem to bore a hole into your skin, making you feel bare and exposed before him? Is it in the way that the smile on his mouth does not seem to be entirely genuine and does not light up his eyes?

You cant tell what it is. The only thing you are sure of is the fact that there is more to this man seated at the other side of the table; more to him than meets the eyes. In no time, you hightail out of his office, thoughts of the weird encounter haunting you for the rest of the day.

Have you ever come in contact with people that were hard to read? These are the kinds of people that, although they may look polished and suave, you cannot shake that feeling that there may be some things you may be missing out on. They seem to set off all the warning bells in your head and make you feel spooked.

What is Dark Psychology?

To be able to understand the conversations we are about to have and better help you put things in the right perspective, let us begin this chapter with a story.

Some years back, there was a man who wanted to run for the office of the Presidency. He was so desperate that he began envisioning himself in the white house, seated on the chair of the president, with access to the presidents quarters, his seal and his authority.
