Its time to take back control of your life! Its time to stand up and fight back!

When my wife found out I was writing a book on being selfish, she was less than pleased. I think she thought my personality would change. After all, who would want their loving husband to become MORE selfish?

The truth is, Ive been this way my entire life. She just never realized it. All of my decisions are made to better myself. Dating, and marrying her were ENTIRELY self-serving purposes. She makes me better. She inspires me to push my limits. Shes my good luck charm, and shes super hot! Of course shes the one I want to be with more than anyone.

When I was falling in love, there was never a moment when I thought Gee, I really enhance this girls life. I would be an excellent candidate to provide her financial stability and several children.

My thoughts were utterly selfish. I loved the way she made me feel. I thought only about the butterflies she put in MY stomach. This is what propelled me to want to get closer to her. To someday promise to be with her the rest of my life.

I imagine you feel the same way about people in your life. How do they make YOU feel?

Its OK to consider your own needs. Its OK to worry about how you feel. You dont have to always be a wonderful, charitable person. You can give in. You're selfish. Everything you do is for your own good. And its OK!
