Chapter One I jerked awake at the sound of my cellphone ringing I reached - photo 1

Chapter One

I jerked awake at the sound of my cellphone ringing. I reached over to the nightstand, but realized Idleft it over on the bureau. With a groan, I sat up and started toget out of the bed, when Julie came out of the bathroom.

Ill get it for you Paul, she calledout.

I sat back gratefully onto the pillow.Julie and I had studied until five am for our English finals. Afterthat wed grabbed breakfast, come back to the apartment I sharedwith my best friend Rob, and spent a couple of hours studying muchmore pleasant things. Julie had to work later tonight and hadmanaged to slip out of bed without waking me to get ready. Whileshe grabbed the phone and said hello, I took a moment to take herin.

Julie was wearing the short black skirtshe waitressed in. The skirt exposed her long legs almost to thecheeks of her cute little ass and was responsible for her gettingenough tips three nights a week to pay her rent. Over the skirthowever, Julie was only wearing a black lace bra and her smallperky tits were propped up quiet well. I could see her nipplesthrough the lace and as my cock began to swell, started to wonderif she had enough time for a quickie. That thought changed when Iheard Julie speak,

Oh, hi Sherri, yeah heshere.

Julie had said that last part withbarely concealed annoyance. I, on the other hand, felt my heartskip a beat. Mom could be calling just to say hi as she dideveryday at some point, but it could also mean Dad was drinkingagain. Or, I thought excitedly, maybe

Its your mother. Julie said tossingthe phone disgustedly onto the bed next to me.

She turned and walking away from mewent and stood over near the large overnight bag she brought withher whenever she was going to stay a couple of days and leanedagainst the bureau. Picking up the phone I answered, HeyMom!

Hi honey! she exclaimed.

This time my heart didnt just skip abeat, it began to race. Mom had that mixed tone of relief andexcitement she got in her voice when ever dad had to go out on theroad. I could feel a smile begin to creep across my face as Iasked, Hey, everything okay?

Better than okay, Mom said. Yourfathers going on a run to Minnesota; hell be gone fourdays.

Four days? I repeated.

Hmm-mmm Mom giggled like a young girland my smile became wider; I loved to hear her laugh like that. Ofcourse she could sound like that all the time if she would get ridof my asshole old man. Four glorious days of peace and quietand. She trailed off.

I waited a moment then rolled my eyes, but continued to smile; she wanted me to play along. As I gave itanother few seconds to leave her wondering, I looked up to seeJulie scowling at me. Shed guessed the conversation and I knewthere was an argument coming. Whatever, shed get over it, but Idid force my face into a serious expression as I asked,

You going to be okay aloneMom?

I guess, she sighed dramatically intothe phone. You know how I get. I should be thrilled to be alone, but you know I get nervous.

Well, remember what the doctor said,I began for Julies benefit, Thats just nerves and

Ill have a hard time sleeping. Momcontinued, But I suppose I could take those pills the doctor gaveme.

She released another exaggerated sigh, and I could picture her smiling on the other end of the phone, herblue eyes bright with excitement. Playing my part, I emitted aresigned sigh of my own.

Mom, do you need me to come stay withyou?

Paul! Julie hissed at me from acrossthe room.

Thats nice of you honey, Momstarted, But you have school and your cute little girlfriendsover.

Ill still go to class mom, and Juliewill understand, she always does. I added, trying to give Julie asmile.

Not this time, Julie said over hershoulder as she began removing her clothes from the bureau drawerand putting them in her bag.

Still honey, I cant ask you to and.Mom trailed off then began to giggle again. I turned around on thebed so Julie couldnt see me smile as Mom continued, Oh, honey, she whispered softly, Will you please come keep your lonely mothercompany?

Putting my hand over my mouth, Iwhispered into the phone, I would love to, cant have you allalone now can we?

Youre such a good boy! she purred inmy ear causing a warm feeling to begin to flow through me. Illhave to go out of my way to spoil you! she added with a gigglethat had an entirely different sound to it than the previousone.

Out loud I said, What time do you wantme to come by?

Hes leaving right after dinner socome on over around six.

Ill be there. I said as behind me Iheard the sound of Julie zipping her bag up.

I love you honey!

I love you too mom, I said

I ended the call and turned to seeJulie had put the white blouse on that went with her skirt, butmore importantly had her bag slung over her shoulder.

Listen Julie, I began as I got upfrom the bed. Dont be mad, I.

Dont be mad? She asked in a tonethat told me she was already there. Are you fucking kidding me,Paul?

Calm down, Julie, I said, standing infront of her and trying to put my arm on her shoulder.

No! she snapped, stepping back fromme. I screwed with my schedule and took tomorrow night off, because its been awhile since we could spend a weekend togetherand now youre going to pull this shit?

Come on, Jules, I said softly, givingher a big smile and again trying to reach out to her.

Dont give me that Jules, shit. Sheshook her head, Do you know how much money I make in tips onFridays? You know how much money I lost?

Well

But I did it because I wanted to spendtime with you Paul! she threw her hands up, Now I took it off fornothing.

Maybe they can put you back onthe.

Maybe my boyfriend can grow a pair andtell his fucking mother to act like an adult and stayalone!

I sighed, Its hard Julie, she has alot of trouble with my dad and she needs me and

She always needs you. She pointed atme. And you always go, you never tell her no!

Why should I? I asked gettingdefensive, My moms been damn good to me and she deserves betterthan my asshole father. So when she needs me I

Go running. Julie shook her headdisgustedly, Youre a fucking mamas boy.

No, Im not.

Yes, Paul you are. Tell you what,Julie pointed at the bedroom door. Go out there and go ask allyour friends what they would do, go spend a weekend with their mom,or spend it with their girlfriend who just got an entire weekendoff to do nothing but you! she pointed again, Goahead!

Julie.

Christ, youd rather hang with yourmother, than get laid.

I looked away as I bit back the remarkthat I could do both. Taking a deep breath, I begansoftly.

Julie, Im sorry. I know its toughand I know you put up with a lot. Id rather be with youtoo

Then prove it. Julie pointed at myphone. Call her back and tell her you cant.

She has a hard time being aloneand.

Then tell her well come by for dinnerand hang out for awhile, then maybe well swing by on Saturday, butyoure not spending the weekend with her.
