Cautions for traditional massage
1. In case of abdomen massage, you should not do abdomen massage after be full (not over 30 minute after food).
2. Not apply too much pressure or long time press because it may be more inflammable, bruised especially skin without muscle such as front ears near collar armpit.
3. In case of elder who has some chronic decease such as diabetes, high blood pressure must be careful for massaging. In case of high blood pressure and swell blood vessel, you should not do abdomen massage because it is risk to your life.
4. Person who have inflamed or have flu with body temperature more than 38 C. should not be massage.
5. Do not massage for person who was just injured but he should have a first aids and diagnose other complication and contact to hospital immediately if he is in severe condition.
6. If you the massager have to bend or pull the next, this need to be very careful because it might cause the bone overlapping the nerve. To have a serious bending might cause myorrhexis.
7. To open or close the passage for a wind should not be longer than 45 seconds or should not apply more pressure because this may cause bruised blood vassal or paranalgesia.
Prohibition of massage Following cases are banned to do massage
1. After meals.
2. Have a flu.
3. Skin decease because it may spread to other area or the massager.
4. Inflamed condition.
5. Do not massage on the wound area.
6. Do not massage on the broken bone or iron bone.
7. Pregnant.
8. Do not massage on monthly period.
How to learn basic traditional foot and leg massage by yourself
1. Massage Foot.
Benefit: Relieve pain and muscle tension, reduce sprain toes, joints and heel.
Method
Put the person lay down on bed or floor. Use the pillow under her head and give her stretch her legs or you may use the pillow to support her legs. The massager joins hands and the left hand put on the top of foot near the right ankle of the partner. Then, stroke slightly and press regularly from heel to ankle to the tip toes. Repeat that before change to next step.
2. Foot Rubbing.
Benefit: Relieve foot muscle pain and reduce sprain toes.
Method
Have your partner lay down on bed or floor and use the pillow to support her head and let her straighten her legs vertically or you may use pillow to support her knees. The massager joins her hands by her left hand put on the back of right foot and the right hand under the foot. Apply pressure gentle rub the foot and then reverse direction before going next step.
3. Stroke and Rub the Foot.
Benefit: Relieve foot muscle pain and reduce sprain toes.
Method
Have your partner lay down on bed or floor and use the pillow to support her head and let her straighten her legs vertically or you may use pillow to support her knees. The massager used both thumb rub along the bone of right foot and rub over ankle. Apply pressure smoothly and rub downward to the joints of toes and repeat it before going next step.
4. Rub Ankle.
Benefit: Relieve foot muscle pain and reduce sprain toes.
Method
Have your partner lay down on bed or floor and use the pillow to support her head and let her straighten her legs vertically or you may use pillow to support her knees. The massager used middle finger, ring finger and little finger of both hand put under right ankle of your partner and your left hand put on external ankle and right hand on internal ankle. Then rub and apply pressure around smoothly for a while and change to next step.
