I thank all of our contributors for generously devoting their time to writing a chapter in our second edition of this text. This book would not have been possible without their dedication and diligence! I hope this book will prove to be a valuable resource for students, teachers, and novice and experienced clinicians in speech-language pathology. I would also like to acknowledge Lucille Nielsen-Rosander, who always provides excellent advice and guidance in all situations. Her students would agree that she was a first-class clinician, supervisor, and mentor in speech-language pathology.
