About The Author

Arthur R. Thompson was born in Seattle, Washington, in 1938. He attended the University of Washington, the Washington Military Academy, and several art and design schools. Eventually, he served as an officer in the Select Reserve Force of the Army and National Guard. He worked for Boeing for several years, then published an intelligence newsletter after he worked in tandem with the Police Intelligence Squad in his metropolitan area, where he helped stop planned riots in the inner cities by communist groups. He helped the police infiltrate area communist organizations and learned their strategies and tactics.

From 1982 until 1995, he created and led small manufacturing businesses, which took him all over the United States and Western Europe. He also went to Europe on a political fact-finding tour for The John Birch Society in 1989, at which time he witnessed the Berlin Wall coming down and became acquainted with many businessmen, academics, and members of the German Cabinet and the European Community, which became the European Union.

Mr. Thompson has also served on his small towns city council, was the chairman of his local Chamber of Commerce, worked as an official and an elector for the Republican Party, and was a local leader in the State of Washington for the Christian Coalition.

Most of the research for this volume was done in the period when he traveled the United States for his businesses, visiting libraries all over the country.

Before and after his years in manufacturing, he served on the staff of The John Birch Society, and he has been the organizations CEO since 2005. He is also the author of International Merger by Foreign Entanglements (2014). His children reside in the Pacific Northwest, while he resides in Appleton, Wisconsin, with his wife, Joanne.

In order to release this work as soon as possible, the author decided not to wait for a year to have it read like a flowing novel. It reads more like a book of facts.

The facts are not footnoted. In this day and age, if in doubt or you desire more elaboration, you can surf the Internet to discover 95% of the facts for yourself. Plus, the author wants the doubting reader to look into matters for himself and to fully explore history . Being skeptical is a good beginning.

This is more of a narrative than a book. It will be repetitive from time to time to remind the reader of the background of certain personalities who were involved in various movements over a period of decades.

This book is dedicated to everyone, just so I do not leave anyone out; however, I want to make a special dedication to my wife, Joanne, who was instrumental in making sure that I finished the project. If you are inclined to thank anyone for the book, should you desire to do so after reading it, she is the one to thank.

A special thank you goes to George and Nancy Wallace of Oklahoma and the Curry Family Foundation who made this project possible.

Please read the following Message and Introduction before tackling the body of this tome for a complete understanding of the historical context and to recognize where the author stands. It is wise to understand the thinking of an author before reading his chronicle of history .

A Message From the Author

The only difference between reality and fiction is that fiction needs to be credible.

Mark Twain

History has always been alive to me. I have never read history without mentally placing myself at the events. Consequently, I love reading history and it can be much better than a novel since it really happened; it is not fantasy.

Or, so I thought.

By junior high school (middle school to the younger set) I realized history books do not always contain the entire story, and this can happen due to space constraints, or the ignorance of the author of certain related facts.

Then after reading several books on the same subject I began to see that the facts sometimes were contradictory; one author would say one thing, someone else another.

From this point, it was not a huge leap to realize that history may be distorted by an author to serve the authors bias, or agenda, by deliberate omission to hide facts, even to the point of creating fact. After a time, I grew to realize that the author may be serving a larger agenda. And, if many authors were doing the same, it became obvious that it was an organized agenda, not just ones individual agenda.

This problem shows up particularly when reviewing history books intended as texts for schools, as opposed to those written for reading outside the field of structured education. Books written and published by small, independent publishing houses that are not connected to establishment-influenced firms tend to be less of a problem relative to an organized worldview, but can be a problem due to bias.

A major difficulty with the ability to make decisions is having all the facts. Even the most logical thinker can reach the wrong conclusion if he does not have sufficient knowledge of all the facts dealing with that decision.

Political decisions are made by the American people, since we are a free country, and what decisions we make can be manifested at the polls and affect our entire country. If the people do not have all of the facts, what then? This work attempts to bring many realities home to the reader to enable him to begin to see what has been happening for some time and to realize that the process has been accelerating during his lifetime.
