The greatest battles we face are with ourselvesIn You vs You, author Todd Cahill starts with a simple premise: As people strive for any improvement in their liveswhether its more income, a better relationship, a promotion, a bigger business, or a better bodythe most important battles they will face are against themselves. People invite problems into their lives through poor choices, apathy, indecision, arrogance, anxiety, selfishness, and other traits they would rather not discuss but must be addressed. In this valuable book, Cahill shares what he has learned about these battles that either keep people from success and significance or usher them to victory. As a life coach and leadership trainer, he has taught thousands of people these lessons, and many of them are now experiencing a level of personal achievement, relational abundance, and financial freedom they never thought possible.People often self-sabotage if theyre not mindful, wise, and willing. Cahill reinforces the idea that readers can choose today to fight against who they once were (or are) and become who they are made to be. You vs You is about that choice and the challenging, rewarding quest that ensues.

FOREWORD

Simply put, you are involved in everything you do. And thus, you are responsible for the decisions you have made. This might appear to be an obvious statement, but the application of it is not so obvious. Otherwise, we would all be living more enriching lives. That is why the principles described in this book are so important. These principles have been a portal for me to create a significantly more satisfying and fulfilling life.

In 2010, I was emerging from perhaps the most challenging decade of my life. Huge financial losses and a 100-pound weight gain coupled with shame, guilt, uncertainty, fear, and confusion filled my body and spirit on a daily basis. I wasnt anywhere near the person who I wanted to be or knew I could be. I was frustrated and scared. I had switched careers. I had moved to a different state. I had made significant external changes, but I was still the same. My focus was misdirected and I hadnt yet figured out that it wasnt about you vs them, but rather it was about you vs you.

Around that time, I heard Todd Cahill speak. He was one of the most powerful speakers I had ever heard. His passion, perseverance, and drive struck me the most. I remember thinking to myself that if I ever went to battle, this is the guy I would want by my side. What I did not realize then was that I had been in a battle all of my life.

In 2016, I started coaching with Todd. We created a game plan. We outlined spiritual, financial, emotional, and health goals. I desperately wanted to win, and I instinctively knew that Todd was that person who could take me to the next level and beyond. But it wasnt easy. Trying to keep pace with Todd and his fierce, almost obsessive drive toward his own self-improvement helped fuel mine. His willingness to be vulnerable and his raw honesty had a profound impact on me. I began to have a new, exciting paradigm on how I related to suffering and challenges. Clarity, not confusion, was now the overriding feeling.

Todd isnt easy. And while this book is easy to read, the material is hard. Every day I am faced with choices and issues. I have applied the practices in this book to help me realize how powerful I am. This book distills all the challenges that life can throw your way into recognizable and tangible formulas. You will realize, the same way I have, how it is possible to overcome your own internal limitations and how it is exhilarating to learn that your life is as simple as you vs you.
