Praise for Dreams of Awakening:
I have been involved in the Toltec culture of dreaming for many
years and Charlies book is one of the best I have ever read
about dreams. We are entering a new period of time in which the
ancient lineages of dreamers were predicted to be rediscovered,
and Charlie Morley is giving a treasure for these times, a
modern view on the ancient Tibetan practices of dreaming.
Sergio Magaa Ocelocoyotl, author of 20122021: The Dawn of the Sixth Sun
I have run joint retreats with Charlie and I consider him
to be the most experienced and authentic practitioner
of lucid dreaming teaching in Europe. He has been
training since his teens and this book offers a training
programme based on this unique practical experience.
Rob Nairn, author of Living, Dreaming, Dying
Joyfully exploring consciousness, lucid dreaming and
Buddhism, Charlie Morley gently stretches the readers
mind to accept dream yogas premise of real awakening. I
recommend this for everyone on the lucid dreaming path..
Robert Waggoner, author of Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self
Charlie is proof of evolution. Hes the next generation sharp

Tim Freke, author of Lucid Living and The Mystery Experience
Charlie is able to make lucid dreaming cool, fresh and relevant to
anyone, and crucially he makes the process easy to understand.
As a hypnotherapist, I can see that he writes from his heart
with no hidden agendas, which is a very refreshing approach.
Valerie Austin, author of Self Hypnosis:
A Step-by-Step Guide to Improving Your Life
As I read Charlies book I could almost hear him speak with his
unique openness and ability to weave inspiration and fact together
in the most accessible of ways. Even more importantly, his words
have a clarity that is rare to find, making this book open to anyone
who wants to expand their dream life and thus their waking life.

For the dakinis,
the awakened women
to whom I owe so much.
Buddhist meditation is ultimately about liberating the mind from illusion and self-deception. To this end it is necessary to train the mind and develop kindness, compassion and wisdom. The dreaming mind is fertile ground for developing these qualities. In the Tibetan tradition, the refined discipline of Dream Yoga has been practised for a thousand years, and as one of the famous Six Yogas of Naropa it is an important element in our intensive four-year retreats at Samye Ling Monastery. The stability of the lucid dream is the foundation of Dream Yoga.
In Dreams of Awakening, Charlie Morley is offering a useful, practical synthesis of both Western and Tibetan Buddhist approaches to dream work, and the Western methods of inducing lucid dreams are a significant support for anyone wishing to engage the practice of Dream Yoga in the future.
I am one of Charlies teachers and have a strong connection with him; through this I have confidence in his honest simplicity and trust his methods. His clarity, humility and humanity make it easier for people to understand his presentation of this deep and important subject of lucid dream, and I am satisfied that people who study this book and attend his courses can trust him. Charlies approach is particularly valuable because he is offering methods of working with dream and sleep that will help people in societies where relevant methods have until now been lacking.
I recommend this book to anyone who wishes to benefit from living a more awakened life.

I cant get lucid in my dreams am I a failure?
Maybe not. Lucidity is not only about the dream dimension, its about all dimensions being awake, washing the dishes, falling asleep, daydreaming, waking up and all the rest. So, what is the essential ingredient? Recognition. No matter what is being experienced, recognition.
Most of us blunder through our life in a miasma of confusion, driven by unseen urges and desires that leave us feeling unfulfilled, lonely and empty. Its common to feel cut off, out of touch, pointless, because we often only experience a small part of what we are the superficial part. Many of us sense there is more, but dont know how to reach it. This is frustrating because this more seems to be significant. Thats why lucidity is so relevant.
