  • Ibikunle Adeakin PhD (University of Waikato) is an independent researcher. His recent research explores Nigerias intelligence agencies, Islamism, and the political economy of Nigeria. His work appears in African Security Review, African Security and Commonwealth & Comparative Politics among others. His recent work includes The Challenges of Effective Intelligence in Nigeria Post-Military Rule, in African Intelligence Services, Early Postcolonial and Contemporary Challenges, Ryan Shaffer (editor), published by Rowman & Littlefield (July 2021).
  • Joshua Akintayo is a PhD student at the Brussels School of International Studies (BSIS) the University of Kent, United Kingdom. Akintayos PhD research focuses on the complex nature of government engagement with Muslim Communities and non-state actors in the context of the deradicalization programme in Northeast Nigeria. His current field placement is state-community relations within the context of counter-terrorism. He is interested in deradicalization programs and practices of states, countering violent extremism, and state-community relations. His work appears in the African Journal of Terrorism, South African Journal of International Affairs, and a chapter in The Routledge Companion to Global Cyber-Security Strategy
