How to Use the Workbook
Like
Japanese for Busy People I, Revised 4th Edition, this Workbook is composed of 10 units and 24 lessons. Each lesson includes a number of Practice items, one to three Speaking Practice items, and a Target Dialogue. Some lessons include a Challenge page with slightly more advanced content. Review pages are provided after every two units.
Practice Each lesson in this Workbook has two main categories of Practice.
I. I.
Practice without Audio Recording One or two of the Practice items at the beginning of each lesson are for basic practice. They include practice to help fix vocabulary and conjugations in memory and to create short sentences and conversations while looking at the illustrations. Practice while following the instructions. II. Practice with Audio Recording Each lesson has Practice items with both illustrations and audio recordings. These are the conversation situations applying the most advanced content introduced in the Exercises in the main textbook.
Please follow the following procedure for practice.
Speaking Practice As in the Speaking Practice in the main textbook, the conversation situations are shown in the illustrations. Two patterns are given according to the nature of the conversation.
I. Practice by Dictation (the audio provides 2 tracks) Practice the Speaking Practice in dictation format by the following steps.

Practice by Substitution (audio provides one track) Practice this style of Speaking Practice following the same steps as given on Practice with audio recording given on the previous page. Target Dialogue Practice all the Target Dialogues following the steps given for I. Practice by Dictation under Speaking Practice shown on the previous page. Review Review pages are provided after every two units. Practice by making sentences and dialogues using the vocabulary and sentence patterns practiced.
