What is a reptile? Lizards, snakes, crocodiles, and alligators are reptiles. They are all animals that have scaly skin and breathe with lungs. Some crawl like lizards. Others like snakes. They can live on land, like tortoises, or spend their lives swimming in the ocean, like sea turtles.
To learn more about reptiles, turn the page and sing along!
Tortoise knew her grandpa had raced a and won, and she thought a reptile race would be a lot of fun.
The reptiles got together for their warm-ups in the sun. If reptiles are not warm enough, its hard to move and run.
Are you a reptile? How can you tell?
Do you breathe with lungs? Do you have ? When you are cold, is it hard to move well? Do you have a tail?
Then, yes, youre a reptile!
The snakes slithered without feet. The lizards ran, and they leaped. Alligators, some turtles, too, could have crawled but swam straight through.
Are you a reptile? How can you tell?
Do you breathe with lungs? Do you have scales? When you are cold, is it hard to move well? Do you have a tail?
Then, yes, youre a reptile!
Can you crawl like a crocodile? Slither like a snake?
Can you leap like a lizard, running in a reptile race?
Can you crawl like a crocodile? Slither like a snake?
Can you leap like a lizard, running in a reptile race?
Can you leap like a lizard? Then youre in the reptile race!
At stops, the turtles and lizards could snack on plants and bugs, but alligators eat turtles, and snakes eat lizards. Ugh!
The reptiles all went on their way. The race was done. They did not stay.
Everyone went home for dinner, and every reptile was a winner!
Are you a reptile? How can you tell?
Do you breathe with lungs? Do you have scales? When you are cold, is it hard to move well? Do you have a tail?
Then, yes, youre a reptile!
