TURNAROUND
INTRODUCTION
The Turnaround Method
You are sitting in a conference room at eight oclock at night, and you cant see the light at the end of the tunnel. The engineers in your team are reworking the timeline, and once again, the product will not be shipping on time. You keep running the numbers, but they dont add up. Your boss is going to be upset.
The campaign team huddles at a Starbucks away from headquarters. The new press secretarythe last one left a week agois agitated as she finds out the donor event that evening wont be full. The gubernatorial race started strong, but now things seem to be going nowhere. The incumbent keeps losing ground and going off message. Get-out-the-vote efforts are disorganized. Grassroots volunteers, frustrated that their time is used poorly, stop showing up. A loss seems inevitable.
