Every organization, large or small, expends time and resources in training its partners, vendors, and customers. This is only natural, since it is in the best interest of any organization that its product or service be optimally deployed or consumed. When the value and utility of a companys offering becomes fully appreciated by all stakeholders, then the road to success in marketing and selling becomes that much smoother. In spite of this being common knowledge, training efforts are often less than fruitful because a companys partner or vendor education organization is either loosely structured or not leveraged to its full potential. Training efforts therefore tend to pack a lighter punch than they should, or could.

With the right knowledge and insights, companies can streamline processes, increase revenues, and reduce expenses for their customer and partner education organization. In their latest book, #SUCCESSFUL CORPORATE LEARNING tweet Book01: Profitable Training by Optimizing Your Customer and Partner Education Organization, corporate veterans Terry Lydon and Mitchell Levy show you the path to profitable training. Among the wisdom they share are ways to streamline communications and document and measure goals for your organization. Their ready-to-action insights touch upon niche areas like innovative incentives, which could include tying satisfaction surveys to bonuses.

As the authors show, several functions in a training department tend to be repetitive, including scheduling resources, communicating with customers, and reporting, and it can take some dogged detective work to identify them all. If you can streamline some or all of these repetitive areas, then it frees executives up for more strategic tasks, such as marketing or sales initiatives.

#SUCCESSFUL CORPORATE LEARNING tweet: Profitable Training by Optimizing Your Customer and Partner Education Organization is presented in the accessible and increasingly popular tweet format, a format that allows its readers to pick up bits and pieces of profitable training and immediately start to achieve great results.

Why We Wrote This Book

Over the years we have learned much about the training business, specifically related to running Training as a Business. Some things were quite broad and deep, while others were more like tips and tricks. There were many books and organizations related to employee training, but not much out there related to the business side of training. We decided to pull all this information together and share it. We didnt want to write a novel that may never be read. We wanted to provide information in an easy-to-digest format; something that someone could go back to at a later date and reference. We were surprised at how much content we found. We hope you find it useful.

How to Read a THiNKaha Book

A Note from the Publisher

The THiNKaha series is the CliffsNotes of the 21st century. The value of these books is that they are contextual in nature. Although the actual words wont change, their meaning will change every time you read one as your context will change. Heres how to read one of these books and have it work for you.

1. Read a THiNKaha book (these slim and handy books should only take approximately 1520 minutes of your time!) and write down one to three aha moments you had whilst reading it.

a. Aha moments are looked at as actionable momentsthink of a specific project youre working on, an event, a sales deal, a personal issue, etc. and see how the ahas in this book can inspire your own aha! moment, something that you can specifically act on.

2. Mark your calendar to re-read this book again in 30 days.

3. Repeat step #1 and write down one to three aha moments that grab you this time. I guarantee that they will be different than the first time.

After reading a THiNKaha book, writing down your aha moments, re-reading it, and writing down more aha moments, youll begin to see how these books contextually apply to you. THiNKaha books advocate for continuous, life-long learning. They will help you transform your aha moments into actionable items with tangible results until you no longer have to say aha! to these momentstheyll become part of your daily practice as you continue to grow and learn.

As CEO of THiNKaha, I definitely practice what I preach. I read #CORPORATE CULTURE tweet, #LEADERSHIP tweet, and #TEAMWORK tweet once a month and take away two to three different action items from each of them every time. Please e-mail me your aha moments.
