Introduction
I want to thank you and congratulate you for downloading the book, Hydroponics for Beginners. This book contains basic knowledge of Hydroponics on how to start an urban gardening with hydroponics.
In the entire world the hydroponics system has become one of the most important systems for its huge amount of advantages. The popularity of this system is increasing day by day. The hydroponic system can help people not only by giving the best plants but also by reducing workload. This is a gardening process where there is no need for soil.
The hydroponics system is great for you if you want to grow more plants in a short time, in a small space. Hydroponics also increases the natural beauty at home. In the United States, the system can provide a break-even or better return, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, salad, fruit and culinary herbs as 4.3 billion, only high-quality, garden vegetables, has reached. Many people get an extra benefit from the system. And it is also very healthy.
Hydroponics or mechanical support to the artificial medium (e.g.,sand, gravel, vermiculite, Rockwool, peat, coir, sawdust), using the nutrient solution (water and fertilizer) is a technology for growing plants. The liquid medium in hydroponic systems has no support for the plant roots: the sum of the system has a solid medium. Hydroponic systems, even after it has been delivered to the plant roots with nutrient solution, where it is to be reused, are categorized as open; Surplus solution replenished recovered and recycled where on or off. Each year scholarship interconnects definition blurs, which is limited to only the fluid system. For a great tasting consumers is willing to pay double or triple the value, blemish-free products, buyers and sellers alike can smile possibilities. Times the value of research and technology and the economic impact of information appear stoic leads to underestimate. Temperate regions of the world in all hydroponic systems, provide temperature control to reduce evaporative water loss, and disease and pest infestations reduce greenhouse-type structure is enclosed within
The world is now grateful for the invention of the hydroponic system.
You need to know each step of the system if you want to reap the benefits of hydroponics. If you dont know the process for starting the hydroponics system, this book will give you step by step instructions. So your duty is to read the instructions properly and follow the steps one by one to get optimal results.
So if you have high expectations of doing the best job, read everything from the first chapter to last. Dont skim, or skip any parts.
Chapter 1: General Hydroponics Information
Generally, hydroponics is the system of growing plants where different types of nutrients can be used for the growth of plants without soil. The nutrients can be different types of wood shavings, gravel, vermiculite, and sand. Actually hydro is a prefix which means water and the ponos means the growth of plants. Both of these prefixes are derived from the Greek language. So Hydroponics mostly means effective water.
From the etymology, you can easily understand that this process depends on the water. However, it is not solely dependent on water. Different types of nutrients are necessary for this process. But for this process, soil is not acceptable material. If you use soil for this method, it is no longer hydroponics, but a differing method. So the process where the water is constant and soil is avoidable is called the hydroponics process. Again, if you use only the nutrients, you will fail to do this system and if you use only water you will also fail to do the system.
Today it has become one of the most important systems in the entire world for its beneficial results. In different countries like Australia, Holland, New Zealand, and Israel, a minimum of ten thousands of acres of land are being used for hydroponic systems.
So you can easily imagine the world wide popularity of the system. Actually for this system, different types of terrestrial plants are being grown. These plants contain long roots which are the main factor for absorbing the nutrients well. So you can easily say now that the process where the water and different types of nutrients are being used for the growth of terrestrial plants and where the soil is not needed is called the hydroponics system.
Chapter 2: Types of Hydroponics Systems
NFT: Here NFT stands for Nutrient Film Technique which has become one of the most popular techniques in the entire world. It has become an important technique only for its benefits. By using this technique, you will be able to plant the vegetables with shorter roots. In this technique the plants should be planted closer to the water and nutrients. You should plant the trees in the tube of water by making small holes in the upper side of the tube. The holes will contain your plants properly and your plants will not fall down while they grow. You should provide the water with your submersible pump into the tube and you should also provide the water with a lot of nutrients such as Potassium, Phosphorus, Copper, Boron and Nitrogen etc which could be found from any a chemistry laboratory and you can get nitrogen from the animal wastes as well . This is the simplest process for you to grow vegetables properly. In this process the continuous flow of water and nutrients goes on. There is no need for a timer or anything of the sort, but to check to ensure the water is flowing, as the plants have no other way to get it if it stops, and will die. Keep an eye on this and youll have a successful hydroponics system.
