Do You Like Me Blue?
You are five years old, you are in a new school, you dont know anyone or anything, and you dont understand a word anyone says to you. One can easily appreciate the trauma and frustration a child would naturally feel. However, such trying experiences is more universal than might be imagined. After all, every child is born not speaking a word of any language. We have all seen the two year old having a temper tantrum and bawling like its the end of the world. Who wouldnt break down from time to time if there were no way to talk or understand all the activities occurring throughout the day. Even as young children grow and develop the ability to speak and communicate, there many times the words and concepts being talked about by the adults in the room are far to complicated for a young one to follow. Though most adults dont remember much about their very early years and, therefore may not relate very well to this part of early life, young children spend a lot of time wondering just what is being said and what is going on. Do You Like Me Blue? opens a window into this world. Share it with your child. You might be surprised at their reaction.
A word about
Emotional Intelligence Color Theory
Concept, Technique and Application
First and foremost the I Am the Color stories are works of art that stand alone as art. If the stories were not exceptional art, they would not work in any other capacity either.
That being said, beyond wide general use for enjoyment, reflection and deepening of experience for all ages, the stories may have application for specific educational and therapeutic purposes for the achievement of desired outcomes.
First, the stories offer a superb way to open the world of emotion to conscious awareness and verbalization of feelings in young children. I Am the Color stories also allow older children and adults to benefit from experiencing and becoming more cognizant of the emotional reality to be found all around in the day to day moments of living.
Second, the stories bring to bear powerful techniques that can be used in a wide variety of therapeutic settings. Specific stories are suitable for service men and women experiencing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PST). Trauma resolution and acceptance, depression abatement, control and extinction, worldview/mindset reset and new orientation and other conditions seeking improvement or treatment may benefit from using I Am the Color stories. For a more thorough discussion of therapeutic use go to the website: www.iamthecolor.com . Emotional Intelligence Color Theory: Concept, Technique and Application is in production at this time, April 2013. The expectation is that it will be published and available for purchase later this year.
