Natural Health: The Indisputable Facts

The following facts regarding your health are true and indisputable:

  • If you are deprived of air ( suffocated ), you will die in a matter of minutes.
  • If you are consistently deprived of food ( starved ), you will eventually die.
  • If you are consistently deprived of water ( dehydrated ), you will eventually die.

Air, food, and water are the three essential ingredients of natural health and life.

So, which one of your body systems ensures that you receive a constant and continuous supply of these three essential ingredients of natural health and life?

Answer: The power of your blood pressure (BP).

Worldwide, raised blood pressure is estimated to cause 7.5 million deaths, about 12.8% of the total of all deaths.World Health Organization (WHO)

Blood pressure (BP ) is a phrase that many people associate with some medical conditions describing a type of disease, sickness, or state of poor health. This is especially true when blood pressure is accompanied by adjectives or qualifiers, such as high blood pressure or raised blood pressure.

On the contrary, blood pressure with no qualifiersis by far the single most important health system within your body that provides you with good natural health .

Blood pressure, as the name implies, is the pressure or power generated by the pumping actions of your heartbeat . This pressure is required to collect, deliver, and distribute your blood (hence BP) to every part of your body. Your blood is the vehicle that transports the three natural health ingredients of life, namely oxygen , food , and water , to every part of your body.

It is therefore very important that you appreciate and are aware of this essential power responsible for delivering and distributing these three ingredients via your blood to ensure you live a natural and healthy life.

Your body will respond with the appropriate BP power needed to supply oxygen, food, and water to every part of your body for specific physical, mental, and emotional activities throughout the course of the day.

You dont require any biological or medical knowledge to enjoy the health benefits provided by the power of your BP. Your BP is designed to provide you with good natural health instinctively and instantaneously , irrespective of whether you understand the biological science behind this natural health process.

My Background

So, you may be wondering why I am writing a book about the power of blood pressure. Let me provide a little bit of background information before proceeding.

I am a registered practicing pharmacist. I have been practicing pharmacy for thirty-five years.

My primary motivation to pursue a career in pharmacy was to use my knowledge to help cure people from disease. So, I first earned a National Diploma in Applied Sciences from Bromley College of Further and Higher Education and a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Bath, UK. I then completed my Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Zimbabwe and a Doctor of Clinical Pharmacy degree at the University of Denver, Colorado. I also earned my Canadian Pharmacy Examining Board certification from the University of Toronto and a Natural Health Consultant diploma from Stratford Career Institute, Mount Royal, Quebec.

Over the past thirty-five years, I have had vast experiences working in the pharmaceutical industries, food manufacturing industries, and both private and public health-care settings. During this time, I interacted with people of all ages who were striving to cure diseases of one kind or another, or perhaps simply looking to live a healthy life. I soon realized there was a disconnect between how to maintain good health naturally versus being healthy through medication. This prompted me to write my first book, The Human Health Blueprints .I also noticed another disconnect regarding health, specifically about blood pressure. While high blood pressure is usually associated with middle-aged and elderly people, the basic, natural function of blood pressure is essential to everyone achieving good health naturally .

In this book, I am going to show you how you can easily maintain good natural health by paying attention to how your blood pressure and your heart interact with the rest of your body. I say paying attention because thats all you have to do.

Your BP is responsible for what I call your functional health , while your heart is responsible for your structural health . I will explain to you what I mean by these two health terms in the following chapter.

Chapter One

The Power of Your BP Numbers and Natural Health

Blood pressure is the power generated by the pumping or beating (as in heartbeat) actions of your heart. The power of BP is generally defined in terms of two numbers, a top number and a bottom number.

For example, BP can be recorded as 130/80 (one-thirty over eighty). The top number (130) is called the systolic (pumping or pushing) pressure, and the bottom number (80) is called the diastolic (filling or relaxing) pressure. A third number, called pulse (P), is normally recorded alongside your BP numbers. Your pulse, also known as your heartbeat , is a measure of your BP pumping cycle. One heartbeat or pumping cycle measures the time, in minutes, from when a given amount of blood is pushed or pumped out of the heart (systolic), delivered and distributed to all parts of the body, and flows back to the heart (diastolic). Your heart generates between 70 and 100 beats, or BP cycles, every minute. The exact number of beats per minute (bpm) varies depending on a variety of factors, including your mental and physical activities at any given moment.

Functional Health vs. Structural Health: The Motor Vehicle Analogy

I mentioned that BP is responsible for functional health and the heart for structural health. To help you understand these roles, lets look at an analogy. The efficient operation of a motor vehicledrivingdepends on the vehicles physical structural specifications. Every part of a vehicle has its own structural specifications. These specifications might or might not have any direct relationship with other parts of the vehicle.

For instance, you could have a brand-new vehicle engine running perfectly well before the engine is attached to the body and other parts of the vehicle. In this example, while the engine is structurally healthy , the engine is, nonetheless, functionally dead . The engine is functionally dead because it cannot move without the other essential parts of the vehicle, like appropriate sets of wheels, for example.
