Naughty Monkeyloved to climb. He climbed on everything.
A mono travieso leencantaba trepar. Se suba en todas partes.

"Monkey! Stopclimbing on that water pipe," said Mum. "You will break it!"
Mono!, deja detrepar por esa tubera del agua, dijo Mam La vas aromper!

The water pipebent away from the wall.

It was toolate. Crash! The water pipe broke, and water sprayedeverywhere.

Mum opened thecupboard door below the kitchen sink and turned off the water tap.The spray of water stopped, but everything was soaking wet.

"Do you knowwhy we have water pipes?" Mum asked Monkey. "Water pipes are notfor climbing!"

She picked up atowel and started to dry Monkey.

"No moreclimbing," Mum told him.

All that dayand all the next day Monkey was sad. Monkey loved to climb. Monkeyhad been able to climb the water pipe and swing on the kitchenbeams. Now he could not reach them. The following day someoneknocked on the house door.

"I must goshopping. Can Monkey stay and watch you?" Mum asked Mr.Plumber.
Tengo que ir decompras, Puede quedarse Mono contigo y mirar? pregunt Mam alSr. Fontanero.

"Would you liketo help me?" Mr. Plumber asked Monkey.

Mum picked upher shopping bag and left.
Mam cogi su bolsade la compra y se fue.

Mr. Plumberopened his toolbox.

"What is thatfor?" Monkey asked, pointing at a spanner.

He took thespanner from Monkey and put it back in his box of tools.

Monkey sawsomething red.

"What is thatfor?" he asked, pointing at a pipe cutter in the toolbox.

"It's forcutting pipes," said Mr. Plumber.
Es para cortartuberas dijo el Sr. Fontanero.

"Can I cut thispipe?" Monkey asked, picking up the pipe cutter.

"No!" Mr.Plumber laughed. "You will get very wet, and I will get intotrouble with your Mum."

He took thepipe cutter from Monkey and put it back in his box of tools.

Then he wentoutside to his van and came back with a ladder.

"Before you canhelp, you must watch," said Mr. Plumber. "Sit still on this chair.You watch. I will fix the water pipe."
Antes de poderayudar, debes mirar dijo el Sr. Fontanero Qudate quieto en estasilla. T mira. Y yo arreglar la tubera del agua.

Monkey did notlike to sit still. He was very bad at staying in one place. Monkeywas thinking what he could do with the ladder.

Mr. Plumber wasbusy mending the water pipe. Monkey sat on the chair next to thebox of tools.
