HOOK

Size 7 (1.65 mm) steel hook.

Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

NOTIONS

20 g size 11 seed beads; large-eye beading needle for stringing beads; 2 buttons size ; sewing needle and matching thread for attaching buttons.

GAUGE

10 blocks and 11 rows = 3" (7.5 cm).

NOTES
  • This is a one way design.
  • For right-handed stitchers, chart is read right to left on odd rows and left to right on even rows. For left-handed stitchers, chart is read left to right on odd rows and right to left on even rows.
  • Shawl is worked according to chart, from end to end, beg at bottom of chart. Foll chart Rows 170; then work Rows 691 to complete shawl. It is critical to foll Row 71 in same direction as Row 70 to maintain proper perspective in this shawl. This will require flipping the chart. Check work at end of each row.
