If you haven't found the necessary information about the book — write in the comments, we will try to find it.

We live in a society that teaches us that contact with those who have passed does not exist; we have a medical model that, for the most part, labels these as aberrant experiences, is finite and, frequently, judgmental. In her work, Elizabeth combines conventional wisdom with knowledge gleaned from beyond the physical. In this deeply moving account, Elizabeth shares her extraordinary path to self-awareness. Tracing her journey from practicing privately and in hospitals in Australia, to living and working in the U.S., and returning to Sydney, she outlines experiences with clients and colleagues who have passed, and the insight and comfort that those experiences provide to those still living. There Are No Goodbyes firmly makes the case that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. The phenomenal accounts in this book help us realize that there is no need to fear death, as we are all immortal and innately spiritual beings, connected eternally by the power of unconditional love!--Publisher description.

It was a cold January Sunday. The snow had melted but the sky was still overcast, forming a thick grey ceiling over our small southern Oregon town. After a busy week consulting, I was enjoying a quiet Friday evening relaxing on the sofa when, without warning, I felt a sudden and deep sense that someone I knew was in dangernot just in danger but in danger of losing their life.

This wasnt the first time Id received a strong intuitive knowing about something left of field. At first I wasnt sure of what to make of these random insights, but eventually I learnt to pay attention.

In a panic and searching for answers to this terrible feeling of despair, I was desperate to know who was it I had to try to protect. Something had to be done, though I had no idea what. I started by asking my daughter Jessica if her school friends were okay. Yes Mum, she answered annoyed, everyones fine. I am trying to watch the movie!

Quiet now, I was still restless, unable to shake the feeling that something bad was about to happen. Finally I went to bed. Sleep came hours later.

After a very late night, I awoke late morning to a thick fog-like sensation, feeling overwhelmed, vulnerable and powerless. Then those intense emotions suddenly dissipated and all that remained was a sense of calm, of surrender.

After a late Sunday lunch, the phone rang. Answering it changed everything. Elizabeth, its Elise here, my friend began. Her tone was serious, as if there was something she was loath to share. I have some sad news about something that happened yesterday.

Without thinking, I sat down on the third step of the staircase, just inside my front door. Are you okay? I asked frantically.

Elises gentle, loving voice came back on the line: Elizabeth, Shylo killed herself around lunchtime yesterday.

For a moment I was unable to comprehend what Elise had said. Id had my last consultation with Shylo only what four days before and she was fine, excited about continuing her work with me. Id even had an email from her two days later, and she was really looking forward to our next session.

It was Shylos mother who passed on the news, Elise continued. Shattered, my mind flashed back to my last interaction with Shylo, to her blonde hair tied neatly back in a ponytail, her thirst to know why her car accident had happened two years before. After our session, Shylo had driven me home. It had all been so normal and the conversation so positive. Shed spoken about her special diet and that she was going to buy some healthy food to eat before heading home.

I remembered telling her to take care and drive home safely, looking into her beautiful soulful brown eyes.

I will, shed responded. See you next week.

As she pulled away from the curb, little did I realise Id never see her alive again.

I became aware of Elises voice saying something about Shylos mother.

Oh God, its so hard to make sense of this ... I said in return. I didnt see it coming. Ive worked clinically with suicide for years. There was no sign, no sign at all.

Her mum said the same thing, said Elise compassionately, as my world shattered around me.

What did she do? How did it happen?

All we know is she found her mothers gun and shot herself. Elises voice soft and gentle, trying to soften my response to the news she was sharing.

Oh my God, a gun! I replied, horror filling my every cell. There is something really strange about this though, I continued through my tears. I cant explain it, but I just know theres some higher reason for this. Im going to find out what it is. Shell have to come and explain this to me, explain to me why she made the choice she did.
