Jerome Corsis newest opus, No Greater Valor, examines the Siege of Bastogneone of the most heroic victories of WWIIwith a focus on the surprising faith of the Americans who fought there. In December of 1944, an outmanned, outgunned, and surrounded US force fought Hitlers overwhelming Panzer divisions to a miraculous standstill at Bastogne. The underdogs had saved the war for the Allies. It was nothing short of miraculous. Corsis analysis is based on a record of oral histories along with original field maps used by field commanders, battle orders, and other documentation made at the time of the military command. With a perspective gleaned from newspapers, periodicals, and newsreels of the day, Corsi paints a riveting portrait of one of the most important battles in world history.

PRAISE FOR NO GREATER VALOR

Who are we as a nation? What defines us? What has made us a great nation? All these questions are answered in No More Valor. Dr. Corsi shows how we are losing our identity and our honor because we are losing our faiththe faith upon which America was built. It was the Judeo-Christian values of the founders that gave rise to the courage that birthed a nation founded on unalienable rights and the consent of the governed. It was this same faith that sustained the defenders of freedom in December 1944, where outnumbered US forces won a decisive battle because of their reliance on the same Creator as their forbears.

Lt. Gen. William Boykin (Ret), executive vice president of the Family Research Council

At a time when Americans' deepest spiritual values are under withering attack from both without and within, Jerome Corsi arrives with reinforcements. Focusing his brilliant analytical and journalistic skills on one of the most inspiring battles of WWII, Corsi skillfully recreates the Siege of Bastogne where US forces, led by the fabled Screaming Eagles of the 101st Airborne, rely on a combination of raw American courage and Divine intervention to seal the Allied victory.

David Kupelian, best-selling author of The Marketing of Evil and managing editor of WND.com

The Siege at Bastogne and its outcome is one my favorite events of WWII. I had the opportunity at West Point to study in great detail this battle of valor, survival, and victory of our 101st Airborne Division and other assigned units against overwhelming Nazi infantry and panzer units. We said Nuts to a German demand for surrender and God blessed the troops with a break in the weather for our soldiers to get Allied air support and push back the German forces. Thank you, Jerry, for writing this book and bringing back the memories of brave Americans who were dedicated to survive and defeat the enemy.

Paul E. Vallely MG, US Army (Ret), chairman of Stand Up America

Using firsthand accounts, diaries, and the recollections of those who were there, Jerome Corsis No Greater Valor tells the powerful story of the role of faith during the Siege of Bastogne. From chaplains, to enlisted men, to General Patton, we come to realize just how deeply these heroes of World War II struggled to reconcile their Christian beliefs with the horrors of war. No Greater Valor is a must read.

Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform (ATR); contributing editor to the American Spectator magazine; and author of Rock the House and Leave Us Alone: Americas New Governing Majority

No Greater Valor puts the reader at the Siege of Bastogne with vivid imagery and stories of courage and circumstance. Corsi also reminds us that God was with our Allied troops in this battle, whose outcome changed the course of history. This is a compelling, informative, and inspiring book.

Herman Cain, CEO of THE New Voice, Inc.

The Allied defense of Bastogne against Hitlers final frenzied blitzkrieg is well known to students of World War IIbut most do not know about the focus of Jerry Corsis moving book No Greater Valor: General George Pattons deep faith in a God who would respond to the fervent prayers of His people. No understanding of the Siege of Bastogne or the Battle of the Bulge is complete without appreciating Pattons invocation of Gods intervention and the chaplains who composed the prayers calling for it. Dr. Corsi has made a major contribution to the scholarship of that important turning point in our history.

Colin A. Hanna, president of Let Freedom Ring

My friend Jerry Corsi has written yet another superb book on one of the most important battles of the most important war of the 20th century, which once again clearly demonstrates that Gods hand rests on America.

Richard Viguerie, chairman of ConservativeHQ.com

No Greater Valor is much more than the typical WWII military history anthology, but rather it is a living account of the heroism and faith of the brave Americans who stopped a Nazi counterattack on Bastogne in 1944which if successful, could have given Hitler sufficient time to develop an atomic bomb and thus have changed the outcome of the war. The depth and detail of No Greater Valor is presented in a manner that allows the reader to be in the battle and witness both the faith of the men and the intervention of God that led to victory. No Greater Valor is a must read for every Christian high school and homeschool parent as it depicts the America of the Greatest Generation and the bravery and faith that undergirded it.

William J. Murray, chairman of the Religious Freedom Coalition

Dr. Corsi brings a personal, refreshing, fast-paced angle to the Battle of Bastogne, one of the great American victories of WWII. Outnumbered and outgunned, Americans fought and prayed and died and won for God and country. Whether you believe or not, it is certain that the force of faith made a difference on that Christmas Day so long ago. A singular achievement recommended to anyone who loves great writing.

Stephen Freifeld, MD

I couldnt put No Greater Valor down. The courage of these brave men fighting in a noble cause with faith in God, and then seeing the hand of God at work, was wonderful to read and tremendously inspiring. This book is a gift to future generations. Thank you, Jerome Corsi!

For my father, Louis E. Corsi,
whose memory inspired me to write this book

Picture 1

That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling
shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make
thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with
the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over
thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the
kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

DANIEL 4:25

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble
themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from
their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and
will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 CHRONICLES 7:14

CONTENTS

I have been fascinated by the Siege of Bastogne since I was a child. My father served in World War II with the Army Air Corps. Although he was fortunate enough never to have been called upon to be in battle, many of his friends were combat veterans who fought in Europe or the Pacific.
