LEMONADE CHEATSHEET
A cup or serving glass in these recipes contain 8-oz of liquid. For one cup of lemon juice, you need 4 big lemons or 5-6 medium sized lemons. One big lemon gives around cup or 4 tablespoons of juice One medium size lemon gives around 2-3 tablespoons of juice. One lime gives about 2 tablespoons of juice. Use a hand juicer, citrus juicer or reamer to extract more juice, rather than squeezing by hand.
Roll the lemon gently on the kitchen, before slicing to help release juices. Leave out ice cubes in cool weather and serve lemonade at room temperature. Substitute water with seltzer, soda or sparkling water.
SUGAR SYRUP
T he secret to a perfect lemonade is the sugar syrup. Skip this process if youre using stevia. agave, maple syrup or honey and add them directly to plain water.
Yield for 4 Serves Ingredients 1 cup water - cup sugar method 1. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add sugar and stir continuously. 2. Remove from heat when it dissolves completely.
