It is crucial, not only in those early days but for however long you stay on the ketogenic diet, that you always take special care to drink enough water and add enough salt to your diet, as much as 3500-5000 mg of sodium per day. You can make keto-water by adding 1/8 tsp salt to 1 liter of water and drinking it on a regular basis.

    Two liters of keto-water a day will be sufficient for most people. Please pay close attention to the warm drinks section.
