Contents (Low Budget) 1 cup Self-Rising flour 1 cups Self-Rising corn meal 1 egg 1 cups milk 4 tablespoons Ranch salad dressing cup coconut milk (optional) 1/3 cup oil mixed in batter (optional) Preparation Preheat oven In large mixing bowl mix all ingredients together by hand or with electric mixer until batter is smooth and creamy.

Place in greased loaf pan, round baking pan, or rectangular baking pan. Place in oven and bake until browned on top usually 30-40 minutes. May be garnished with butter, or eaten with syrup and served with most any dish. Will remain fresh in refrigerator for 3-4 days covered. Use same ingredients and preparation for this recipe that was used for Fried Cornbread page and add the cup cracklings. (Low Budget) Healthy Choice 1 cup grated zucchini with skin on 2 cups All Purpose flour teaspoon salt 1/3 cup sugar 1 teaspoon Nutmeg cup roasted Sun Flower seeds teaspoon baking soda 1 heaping teaspoon baking powder 1 egg 1 cups buttermilk cup Olive Oil cup grated squash with skin on (optional) cup cucumbers grated with skin off (optional) 1 cup raisins (optional) Preparation Preheat oven In large mixing bowl combine and mix all ingredients together with spoon. Place into two small or one large loaf pan and bake until fork inserted in the middle comes out clean with no batter on it (usually 30-40 minutes) or until bread is browned on top and firm to the touch.

Remove from oven and serve warm. Can garnish with a preserve or butter and will remain fresh for 1-2 days in the refrigerator. Read: Hosea 10:12 Read: Leviticus 20:7 Read: Luke 12:13-15 (Low Budget) Picture pg. 52 1 cup Self-Rising meal 1 cups Self-Rising flour 1 large diced yellow onion 1 egg 1 cup buttermilk or milk 1 teaspoon red or black pepper 1 teaspoon All Purpose seasoning teaspoon Accent teaspoon celery seed (optional) cup cooked salad shrimp (optional) Oil for frying Preparation In deep pot heat oil to sizzling. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly. Form rounded spoonfuls of dough and drop into oil 6-7 at a time and fry until golden brown on both sides and remove to napkined plate for oil to drain.

Continue process until all have been fried and serve with fried fish, Cole slaw, and fries. Makes about 20 hush puppies. (Low Budget) 1 container any style biscuits Olive Oil lightly brush Garlic powder (garnish) Parsley flakes (garnish) Salt (lightly garnish) Preparation Preheat oven Roll biscuits into rounded strips 3-4 inches long. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake until golden brown. Remove from oven, lightly brush with Olive Oil and garnish as desired. 75 10-15 Mozzarella cheese sticks cup Half and Half 3 cups breadcrumbs 1 tablespoon Parsley flakes 1 teaspoons garlic powder 1 teaspoon Complete seasoning Aluminum foil Oil for frying Preparation Mix breadcrumbs, Complete seasoning, garlic powder, and half and half together. 75 10-15 Mozzarella cheese sticks cup Half and Half 3 cups breadcrumbs 1 tablespoon Parsley flakes 1 teaspoons garlic powder 1 teaspoon Complete seasoning Aluminum foil Oil for frying Preparation Mix breadcrumbs, Complete seasoning, garlic powder, and half and half together.
