    Who knew that making ice cream can be this easy? With your Ninja blender, you can make this wonderful treat at home. Just blend and freeze. Viola! A tasty treat for kids and kids at heart!

    Banana Ice Cream

    T he smidgen of fat in bananas turns very creamy and makes a magic trick when they are frozen and blended up; creating a smooth, rich, silky texture that is perfect for home-made ice cream treat anyone would certainly love.

    Ingredients:

    3-6 pieces medium bananas

    How to:

    • Peel your bananas.
    • Cut them into small pieces like coins.
    • Freeze for just 1-2 hours on a plate or until solid.
    • Blend, blend, blend. The bananas will resist the blending, at first. Dont panic! My trick is to freeze three bananas and blend together with three fresh bananas.
    • Keep that blender running for another 3-4 minutes and enjoy the magic moment when they turn into ice cream.

    Try this recipe as-is for your first time. By the next time you create this delicious treat, you can experiment by adding add honey, chocolate syrup, maple syrup, peanut butter, flavored extracts, or additional frozen fruits , sort of like a blank canvas for ice cream.

    Once youve perfected making the base using bananas, you can make many flavored ice cream. Here are a few recipes that the whole family can enjoy.

    Chocolate Banana Ice Cream

    W ith just two ingredients, your kids will surely love this all-time ice cream flavor.

    Ingredients:

    6 ripe bananas (3 fresh and 3 frozen)

    3 tablespoons cacao powder (or cocoa powder)

    How to:

    • Place frozen and fresh bananas in a blender. The fresh bananas make it easier to blend.
    • Blend until mixture starts to get creamy, scraping down sides as necessary.
    • Add cacao powder and pulse until completely combined.
    • Transfer to a re-sealable container and place in freezer for 3-4 hours.
    • Scoop and serve or scoop and place scoops into a container for later use. If you decide to leave it in the freezer, just allow it to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes or so, to soften before serving.
    Nutella Banana Ice Cream (makes 2 servings)

    T his choco-hazelnut ice cream flavor just makes my kids go wild and crazy that there is always a supply in our freezer.

    Ingredients:

    1 1/2 medium bananas

    3-4 tablespoons Nutella or other hazelnut chocolate spread

    How to:

    • Peel and slice bananas into coins and frozen until solid.
    • Blend bananas in food processor until they are the consistency of soft serve ice cream.
    • Blend in Nutella, and transfer to a freezer container and freeze until solid.
    Peanut Butter and Chocolate Ice Cream

    (M akes 6 servings)

    Ingredients:

    3 frozen ripe bananas*

    4 tablespoons all natural peanut butter

    1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

    How to:

    • Place bananas and peanut butter in a blender.
    • Blend until mixture starts to get creamy, scraping down sides as necessary.
    • Add chocolate chips and pulse until chocolate has speckled your ice cream.
    • Transfer to a re-sealable container and place in freezer for 34 hours.
    • Scoop and serve or scoop and place scoops into a container for later use. If you decide to leave it in the freezer, just allow it to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes or so, to soften before serving.
    • *If you do not have a high powered blender, you may use 2 frozen and one fresh banana to encourage easier blending.
    Peanut Butter & Honey Banana Ice Cream (makes 2 servings)

    I ngredients:

    1 1/2 peeled medium bananas, sliced into coins and frozen until solid

    3 tablespoons peanut butter

    2 teaspoons honey

    How to:

    • Blend bananas until they are the consistency of soft serve ice cream.
    • Blend in peanut butter and honey.
    • Transfer to a freezer container and freeze until solid.
    Cinnamon Dulce Banana Ice Cream

    (m akes 2 servings)

    Ingredients:

    1 1/2 medium bananas

    3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk

    1/2 teaspoon freshly ground cinnamon

    How to :

    • Peel and slice bananas into coins and frozen until solid.
    • Blend bananas in food processor until they are the consistency of soft serve ice cream.
    • Blend in sweetened condensed milk and cinnamon.
    • Transfer to a freezer container and freeze until solid.
    Strawberries & Cream Banana Ice Cream (makes 2 servings)

    I ngredients:

    1 1/2 medium bananas,

    1/3 cup roughly chopped frozen strawberries

    2 tablespoons cream

    How to:

    • Peel and slice bananas into coins and frozen until solid
    • Blend bananas in food processor until they are the consistency of soft serve ice cream.
    • Blend in strawberries and cream until smooth,
    • Transfer to a freezer container and freeze until solid.

    MUNCHES

    Enjoy making these delicious and healthy snacks at home. Ninja Blender is so nifty; you can use it to make cookies, munchkins, bread, and crackers.

    Healthy Oatmeal Cookies

    N ot the traditional oatmeal cookie that your grandma used to make. These cookies are not very sweet but they are healthier and still delicious.

    Ingredients:

    2 very ripe medium bananas,

    1 cup rolled oats, old-fashioned

    1/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries

    1/4 cup chopped raw walnuts, pecans, or other preferred nut

    2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

    1/2 teaspoons salt

    How to:

    • Preheat oven or toaster oven to 350F.
    • Place bananas in your Ninja blender and pulse around 3-4 times or until mashed.
    • Add oats, cinnamon, salt and pulse to combine, about 4-5 times
    • Add raisins and nuts and pulse about 4-5 times.
    • Put a tablespoon full into your prepared cookie sheet
    • Flatten with a spatula
    • Bake 10-15 minutes or until browned.
    Basic Oatmeal-Raisin Cookies (makes 2 dozen)

    A very decadent recipe you can enjoy once in a while with a similarly delicious alternative.
