FOR MORE THAN 15 YEARS, green juicing has been one of my favorite ways to maintain vibrant health. I discovered this practice when I had postpartum depression and was struggling to recover my energy after my daughters birth. Most days I couldnt even get out of bed. After feeling this way for months, I finally spoke to my doctor, who suggested medication. But intuition told me that my body could heal itself if I made some lifestyle changes, so I began to look for answers.
I saw an interview with a fitness expert who displayed an incredible amount of energy and zest for life, and he was over 70 years old! He revealed that his secret was drinking fresh juice daily. I was intrigued. The very next day, I bought my first juicer.
I was excited until I realized I had no idea how to make juice, and I had no recipes. (There werent many books available on the subject at the time.) What if I juiced the wrong vegetables? What if I hated the taste? Then I remembered one of my most important mottos in life: Keep it simple.
I started making recipes with only two or three fruits and vegetables. Over time, I discovered what I liked and what made me feel better. I learned that juices made with greens gave me the most energy and reduced my cravings for junk foods. These green juices quickly became my favorites. With more energy, I was more productive, my body felt better, and my outlook on life improved.
Since I started juicing, Ive wanted to help others care for their bodies and enhance their health and happiness the same way. For the past 11 years, Ive been blogging and teaching people about the amazing benefits of green juice. This book is the culmination of what Ive learnedit guides you through the ins and outs of juicing and contains a collection of fantastic, healthy juice recipes. With this book, youll be able to set up your own daily routine that is not only nutritious but also inexpensive and fun.
Youll also learn why juicing is good for you, what sets green juice apart from other juices, and how to purchase the right juicer for your individual needs. Ill show you how to choose fruits and vegetables for their nutritional value, and Ill answer the most common questions about what to expect when juicing.
Of course, you want recipes, so Im sharing 75 of my best green juice recipes with you. Inside youll find:

My hope is that you are inspired to transform your life. Are you ready to get started?
Green juicing may seem like a recent health fad, but the concept of extracting nutrients from fruits and vegetables dates back to 150 BC. The first modern juicers were designed and produced in the 1930s, but in the last decade, green juicing has gained momentum as a bona fide way to get your daily dose of vitamins and minerals. Many people have reported experiencing more energy, better sleep, less stress, glowing skin, better digestion, and improved immunity after drinking their greens. Lets take a closer look at the benefits of green juicing and the best practices for incorporating it into your daily routine.
WHAT IS GREEN JUICING?
Green juice is the result of separating the liquid nutrients from the insoluble fiber of raw green vegetables. This green liquid is an excellent source of vitamins, minerals, trace elements, enzymes, and other phytonutrients that the body needs for cell regeneration and healing.
Juicing is a popular way for people to heal from health conditions that can be improved through diet. I began juicing because I wanted a natural remedy to battle my lack of energy and depression. Ive met others who have reversed fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, and even eczema.
