Who Can Benefit from Using This Book?
Perfect Phrases for ESL: Advancing Your Career has been created for intermediate and advanced level English as a second language (ESL) or English as a foreign language (EFL) learners already inor planning to be inthe workforce in the United States. If you are presently employed, you will find that you always need to refine and improve your skillssince the one constant of the business world is change! This book helps you reinforce the skills you have in order to be more valuable to your employerin such areas as communicating with colleagues, leading meetings and teams, making presentations, representing your company, or supervising others.
And if you are presently employed, you may be applying for other work within your company. How to Use This Book
Perfect Phrases for ESL: Advancing Your Career is presented in five parts that focus on different areas of career development, with each part containing four or five chapters. You may choose to start at the beginning of the book and read through to the end. This is an especially good method if you are not yet seeking employment or are preparing to come to the United States for prearranged employment. This enables you to bone up on the idioms and vocabulary as well as get a flavor of some aspects of business in the United States.
