The play started with my parents, Fawn and Marion Heathcote, in Harvey, North Dakota, and with my mom and grandparents in Manchester, Washington. Marv Harshman at Washington State was my mentor and one of the great minds in basketball history. He was a part of every win we had at Montana and Michigan State.
