101 Easy Bean Bean Recipe
Introduction
B eans are undoubtedly good for your heart. They're excellent for many of your body, from your gut and kidneys to your brain and everything else. The catch, though, is that they're good carefully, as is everything. I'm using fava beans, kidney beans, and chickpeas as my example beans.
A diet during which the sole food in beans, there are getting to be many problems up ahead, starting with deficiencies. Vitamin A and C are getting to hit the toughest, as fava beans have 6% of the RDI (recommended daily amount) of vitamin A and 6% of the RDI for vitamin C per 100 grams, chickpeas having 1% for vitamin A and 6% vitamin C, kidney beans having 0% for vitamin A and seven for vitamin C. vitamin K could even be a problem. However, which will be avoided with careful choices.
For minerals, you'll be fine, save cobalamin, which is no more than 1% of the beans listed above.
It can certainly cause you to reduce, but at a price to your health, which I assume isn't what you would like by happening a bean only diet. No dietician or doctor I even have ever seen have even mentioned bean only diets as being healthy, only that beans are often included during a healthy diet.
A benefit to beans food
Nowadays, we are more accustomed to seeing them cooked and canned; these vegetables are a bit forgotten and often belong to our grandmothers' recipe books.
Old as the world, or almost!
Indeed, their origins can be found in Central and Latin America, about 9000 years before you and me, thanks to archaeological discoveries.
They are so interesting, both in terms of nutrition and taste, that we will today, together, go back to their discovery.
Their scientific name: Phaseolus vulgar
What to eat:
Either the bean, the long part. Either the seed, the kidney-shaped part. In all cases, they have to be cooked because raw seeds can be poisonous. But, fortunately, the seeds can be kept dry for a long time and can be used during winter to create delicious and comforting dishes. A good bean dish when it is cold leaves you with a full stomach and a body full of energy.
Color? Colors
From white to black, beige, green, red, marbled, brown, spotted pink, and two-tone with a small black spot on the side, they come in a variety of sizes. It should be noted that their color is essential, as it helps to differentiate their nutritional qualities, which we will study in detail below.
A small tour of the world of beans:
Chile con carne in the United States, feijoada in Brazil, tortillas in Mexico, baked beans in Canada. In Iran, they are part of the composition of Ghormeh-sabzi; the London breakfast contains the inevitable "Tomato Beans." In France, the cassoulet sees its beans accompanied by meat, bacon, sausages. Many regional dishes in Portugal are made from a base of beans simmered for a long time. In Africa, they are eaten as cakes. The Japanese cooking methods include desserts made with panko, a lovely bean paste. I've tasted it, and I love it! Our round-the-world trip goes all the way to Oceania. The halo-halo is a Filipino dessert whose essential ingredient is still our champion. The bean!
What is a bean diet?
The bean diet is a plant-based diet that focuses mainly on the consumption of vegetables, fruits, beans, whole grains, etc. You are allowed nuts, especially peanuts, as they are considered a legume. It was mainly designed for people with cardiovascular problems like type 2 diabetes and high LDL and heart issues. Basically, due to beans and legumes being low glycemic index foods, it has been successful in its intended purpose. There is some research on it but not enough to qualify it as a prescription for lowering cardiovascular disease. I would also like to point out that consuming that many beans, pulses, and greens all together is not suitable for everyone as it can create digestive issues. Some people have certain enzymes missing in their gut to break down the proteins from these foods. So if someone is are planning on following this diet, please consult with a nutritionist so they can design a plan suitable for you.
How to Cook Beans properly?
Cooking dried beans is easy! Heres what you would like to do:
Small stones or debris are often mixed with dried beans, so keep the beans running before you cook. Discard any waste or Colorless beans as well.
I highly recommend soaking your beans before cooking. To try to do this, place the dried beans during a large bowl and add water to hide them by 2 to three inches. Discard any beans that float. Then, leave the beans to soak for a minimum of 8 hours, or overnight. Within the morning, drain and rinse the soaked beans. Transfer the soaked beans to an outsized pot
Simmer for a half-hour, discarding any foam that rises to the surface. Add seasonings & continue cooking. When the beans have simmered for a half-hour, season them with salt. Continue cooking until the beans are tender,
When the beans are tender, Store the beans in an airtight container within the fridge for up to five days, or freeze them for several months!
