Have you ever found yourself caught in a compromising situation with an urgent need to conceal your identity? And in said situation, were the means at your disposal limited to some wool, a pair of knitting needles and, by happy chance, a crochet hook? No? Well, you never know when such an event may occur, and when it does youll be jolly grateful to have the following patterns for your aforementioned disguise emergency. In this book youll find a plethora of options, ranging from the traditional bandit mask to a stylish blue-rinse wig and including, of course, a variety of moustaches and beards. Ive purposely designed all my patterns to be made with DK yarn, as this is readily available and very inexpensive, so your disguise requirements should be easy to fulfill. Some of the designs can even be whipped up in an afternoon, if you need them in a hurry, while others might make more challenging projects. Whether youre making these for fancy dress, a top-secret spying mission or appeasing your split personality, I hope you enjoy the costume treats and disguise delights that this book has to offer. Not to mention entertaining your friends and family once the beauties are complete.

So crack open your yarn stash, poise your needles and knit your own disguise. Theres no simpler way to change your appearance than by adding a little upper - photo 10

Theres no simpler way to change your appearance than by adding a little upper lip fuzz. These knitted moustaches are very simple to make, and there are five options to choose from, so why not go crazy with a bit of woolly taschery?Theres the Handlebar for the dapper chappy; the Walrus for the older gentleman; the Sven for our continental cousins; the Classic for the man about town; and the Dali for the more eccentric fellow. Whatever your hairy-faced desires, there must be a moustache among this little lot to suit (and disguise) you.
