Acknowledgments
They say it takes a village to raise a child and I think the same holds true for this book. To begin with I want to thank the talented Brett Bara, host of Knit and Crochet Now. Her talent and creativity can be seen in every episode of the show. I'd also like to thank the brilliant experts on the show, Kristin Nicholas, Maggie Pace, Robyn Chachula, Drew Emborsky and our newest addition, Myra Wood. Not only have they contributed designs to this book, but they impart their wisdom to us on every show.
I am also grateful to the many other designers whose work is featured on the show and in the pages of this book. They are talented and I am so very lucky to work with them.
There are many other people who have had a hand in bringing this book to fruition and I want to thank every one at F+W Media for making this project a reality especially Liz Casler who was able to make sense of the chaos that I handed her. A big thank you to Christine Doyle who managed to work at lightning speed to move this project forward and also to Sara Domville who saw the value of bringing the TV show into print.
As with all my other books my husband Tom has been my biggest cheerleader and makes a wonderful warm vegetable salad when I'm too tired or busy to participate in dinner. I also want to thank my new partner, Susan Levin, who has brought so much to the show in such a short time. A big hug to my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren who are the sparkle in my life and to my friends who put up with my absence on so many occasions.
Last but not least I want to thank Rick Caron who gave me the push to produce the television show because he knew I could do it.
Dedication
This book is dedicated to all the knitters and crocheters who love their craft, are always seeking new inspiration and are eager to learn more. You are the reason Knit and Crochet Now! is such a success and why we love to come into your homes to bring you new designs and techniques.
Introduction

When we first came up with the idea of a television show that would feature knitting and crochet we knew it had to not only have great techniques but also truly wonderful patterns that utilized those techniques. Those two things together form the foundation for Knit and Crochet Now (formerly Knit and Crochet Today), and we keep them in mind every time we sit down to work on what we will feature in the next season of the show. The name of the show may have changed with our third year but not our dedication to bringing you the best in techniques and patterns.
This book is a compilation of knit projects from the first three seasons of Knit and Crochet Now a sort of best-of-the-show. You will also find a few extra patterns that didn't appear on the show but are just too good not to share with you. We've included projects for babies and the home, accessories and gis as well as wearables. Projects range in difficulty from easy to intermediate. As you work your way through this book we hope you will enjoy the projects and share them with the people you love. And don't forget to look for us on your local public television station!
