Modern technology allows you to "see" and "hear" what is beyond the power to see with the eyes and hear with the ears. As a result, the senses began to be used half-heartedly, inharmoniously. At present, their capabilities are largely lost. What doesn't work will atrophy. This is an immutable law of nature.

If the organ is not loaded, it starts to hurt. It so happens that a child is born with different eyes: one of his eyes, for example, sees normally, and the other is myopic or farsighted. Under these conditions, the child uses only one eye: a well-seeing eye takes on a double burden, and the visually impaired begins to be lazy, and then blindness from not using the eye can develop! Parents must be very attentive: to notice and correct the problem in time.

So, in order to preserve sight, you need to use it. "How so? - you will be surprised. After all, in ordinary life we use our eyes very actively! This is where a contradiction arises. An amazing thing, if everything is clear with the reproductive organs and the heart - these organs are clearly underutilized, then with vision, at first glance, the situation is completely opposite: a modern person not only actively uses his eyes, he literally does not leave them alone for a minute. It would seem that the organ of vision is in constant tone, training is constantly underway. And at the same time - a colossal increase in eye diseases all over the world. Over the past six years, only in our country, the number of patient sophthalmic diseases increased by three million. Doctors warn about the development of the so-called epidemic of diseases of the organ of vision. Why is this happening?

The eyes are not tired of the work itself, but the fact that they are working in the wrong mode. We have practically stopped using our eyes to look at objects in the distance. The load on the eyesight occurs mainly due to the examination of small objects up close. These are, first of all, letters in a book or newspaper, symbols on a computer screen. The load on vision in these cases is monotonous. We read a book, and our eyes make the same movements: from left to right, from left to right. For hours, day after day, the same movements. Imagine a ballerina doing the same step for hours every day for training purposes. And he no longer makes any movements! Obviously, most of the muscles will remain underused, and the movements in the dance will be rough and uncoordinated.

Often, the conditions in which we work greatly contribute to the overload of the organ of vision. Reading in the semi-darkness or from a glaring screen, in too bright light or in artificial lighting, with sharp fluctuations in the level of illumination, in moving vehicles and on the go, makes the eyes strain excessively, which leads to overload and, ultimately, to the breakdown of the delicate visual mechanism. But it may not - if you follow the rules and use unfavorable conditions in the training mode: vision will improve from this!

So what should we change in our everyday life so that the load on the eyes is only beneficial? From childhood, we are warned against a wide variety of effects on the eyes. We are accustomed to the well-established judgments that reading with dim artificial lighting is harmful, in the bright sun it is even more harmful, with sharp fluctuations in the level of illumination it is super harmful, and reading in a moving vehicle is simply disastrously harmful! Any sane person sooner or later has doubts that recommendations taken out of the context of life - a kind of semolina for the eyes - are able to preserve vision. After all, the so-called "harmful" influences in modern conditions are almost impossible to avoid. We have watched and will continue to watch TV, we are not going to give up reading, and daily work at the computer has become an integral part of the life of almost every person. I do not urge you to abandon the benefits of civilization and radically change your way of life. I will teach you how to maintain and improve your vision in these adverse conditions. The most important thing is to remember that the eyes, like all organs, you need not only to work, but also to rest. And rest regularly. It is the competent alternation of load and rest that turns the load into a training factor.

If you are determined to start restoring your visual functions, you should not rush right off the bat. Of course, a person who has forgotten how to move does not make sense to immediately try to run a marathon. To the same extent, a person with visual impairment should not immediately and heavily load the eyes. Only a thoughtful, dosed, gradually increasing load on the system that I propose in this book is able to neutralize adverse environmental factors and improve vision.

How to start your day so your eyes get a powerful health mindset

It is known that as you start your day, you will spend it. I got up "on the wrong foot" and everything went awry. This is indeed the case. In the morning hours from five to nine, the body and psyche are more receptive than during the rest of the day. The program of the day is laid in the morning. And how your organ of vision will work also depends on your morning mood. Therefore, I recommend starting the day with short exercises that will energize your eyes. When you read the exercises, it may seem to you that in a tiny period of time from waking up toleaving the house has to be done unrealistically a lot. However, if you calculate how much you spent on your eyes in the end, it turns out that no more than 10 minutes! But what a wonderful contribution you made to your health!
