Basic Quiche Crust
A tasty quiche crust recipe to delight your tastebuds!

Ingredients:
6 tablespoons cold butter, sliced into pieces
cup all-purpose flour
cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
5 teaspoons cold water
Directions:
1. Begin by setting the oven to 350 Fahrenheit. Add a bit of oil to your quiche dish.
2. Mix flour and butter in a bowl, and combine well before adding the grated cheese.
3. Add the water spoon by spoon until you can form a dough ball.
4. Wrap the dough ball with plastic wrap and place it in your fridge for about 30 minutes.
5. Slowly, roll out the dough and place it in your quiche dish.
6. Bake your quiche crust for 10 minutes before adding your filling of choice.

Pumpkin Quiche

Ingredients:
For Pumpkin Layer:
1 small pumpkin, peeled & seeded, chopped
2 carrots, peeled & chopped
2 eggs, beaten
1 large sweet potato, peeled & chopped
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
teaspoon ground cinnamon
teaspoon curry powder
teaspoon ground cumin
A dash of ground nutmeg
teaspoon fine sea salt
For Spinach Layer:
2 eggs
2 tablespoons bread crumbs
1 (16-ounce) package frozen, chopped, thawed & drained
cup half & half cream
teaspoon fine sea salt
teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions:
1. To prepare your pumpkin layer, add your pumpkin, carrots and sweet potato into a big pot of water, then slowly bring to a boil over high heat.
2. Reduce the heat to low, then continue to cook for 40 minutes or until veggies become tender. Drain well.
3. Next, set your oven to 350 Fahrenheit. Grease a 12-inch pie dish.
4. Add your cooked veggies to a food processor, along with the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
5. Add your veggie mixture into a large mixing bowl.
6. Using paper towels, wipe the inside of your food processor out.
7. Add your spinach layer ingredients into your food processor, except for the bread crumbs. Pulse until the mixture is smooth. Stir in your bread crumbs.
8. Add your spinach mixture to your prepared pie dish. Use the back of a spatula to assist you in flattening the mixture surface.
9. Now, add your veggie mixture over the spinach layer evenly.
10. Gently, using a spoon, mix the mixtures to make a marbled pattern.
11. Bake quiche for 30 minutes or until the top becomes golden brown.
