FEET
With CC and larger needles, CO 6 stitches onto 3 needles and join in a round. Round 1: [Kfb] 6 times12 stitches. Round 2: [Kfb, k1] 6 times18 stitiches. Round 3: Knit. Rounds 46: Knit. Rounds 46: Knit.

Break yarn, and place these 18 stitches onto a holder. Repeat Rounds 16 above to make another foot, without breaking yarn.

Join Feet Together
K9, and CO 3 stitches using backward loop method. Place remaining 9 unworked stitches onto 1 needle to work later. Place 18 stitches from holder onto 2 more needles, and with a fifth needle, k18. CO 3 stitches using backward loop, then knit the remaining 9 stitches from your other foot (42 stitches).

BIRD (Make lots!)
With smaller needles, CO 6 stitches onto 3 needles and join in a round. Round 1: [Kfb] 6 times12 stitches. Round 3: [Kfb, k1] 6 times18 stitches. Rounds 47: Knit 4 rounds. Round 8: [K2tog, k1] 6 times12 stitches. Round 8: [K2tog, k1] 6 times12 stitches.

Stuff before continuing. Round 9: [K2tog] 6 times6 stitches. Break yarn and draw tightly through stitches with tapestry needle. Embroider features on bird with 5 horizontal stitches of orange for beak and 1 stitch of black for each eye.

FINISHING
Insert more stuffing between mooses feet if necessary, then sew using mattress stitch. With black yarn, embroider on nostrils about 5 stitches beneath eyes and 4 stitches apart from each other.

Sew up gaps between antler prongs, and stuff antlers firmly. Attach CO edge to sides of head using mattress stitch, with the top side of antler placed about 11 stitches from top of mooses head. Attach arms at a downward angle using mattress stitch. Tack birds to antlers with a few stitches, or safety pins. Weave in all loose ends.
