Ingredients:
Lean ground beef 1 pound
Yellow onion 1 cup chopped (about one medium onion)
Diced carrots (about two medium carrots) 1 cup
Minced garlic three tablespoons
No-salt-added diced tomatoes 1 (14 ounces) can
Sea salt one tablespoon
Worcestershire 1 tablespoon
Vegetable oil one tablespoon
Bay leaf 1
Paprika one teaspoon
Uncooked long-grain white rice 3/4 cup
Low-sodium chicken broth 6 cups
Chopped green cabbage 4 cups (about half of one head)
Sugar one teaspoon
White vinegar one tablespoon
Garnish with fresh parsley
Instructions:
Heat vegetable oil on medium fire in a huge broiler
Once the oil is sparkling, add the ground meat and make it brown colored for 2 minutes.
Discard additional fat if necessary then add the onion and carrot to the pot.
Sautee for 5 minutes until it gets soften. Add the garlic and cabbage to the pot, alongside the diced tomatoes and chicken
Stir the rice into the pot and add the paprika, salt, and bay leaf
Allow the soup to reach boiling point; at that point, turn the flame down to low and place a cover on the pot.
Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and the cabbage get softened
Stir in the sugar, Worcestershire, and vinegar.
Taste and add salt and pepper as required. Serve garnished with fresh parsley.
